Chapter 1: 3rd-Years, Huh?

"TOBIO!" The orange haired boy yelled in the final set. Kageyama didn't hesitate for a bit and tossed him the ball. The small hands of the spiker slammed the ball into the ground on the other side of the court.

We won.

We won.

"We won!" Kageyama yelled together with the rest of the team. Hinata had tackled him to the ground and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Oh how they wished this moment would not pass. This moment right now is perfect. Playing volleyball and kissing your partner at the same time. It's perfect.

"Hey Tobio? Do you want to come over for dinner tonight? My mom is making meat buns!" He giggled.

"I'll always come." Kageyama smiled at him which caused Hinata to blush a little.

It was summer time and the end of their second year. Soon, Kageyama was going to take over the volleyball club as the captain and have Tsukishima as vice captain. Before, when they were still 1st-years, Suga and Daichi had claimed beforehand who they thought the next captain was gonna be. Kageyama is a really good leader aswell as Tsukishima.

"We're home!" The small boy announced when he entered the door. A woman with black hair popped her head around the corner aswell as a smaller version of Hinata.

"Welcome home Shouyou! Oh and Tobio too I see!" The tall boy waved happily at them. He felt so at home here, more at home than at his own home. He couldn't deny that Hinata's family felt like a family to him too. His parents was much more loving than his own. A warm feeling placed itself in his stomach, it made him grin even more. While in his thoughts, Hinata had grabbed Kageyama's sleeve dragging him upstairs.

Hinata immediately opened his wardrobe in search of clean clothes. He didn't have the time to change back at the finals so he decided to change at home instead and actually putting on new clothes instead of the clothes he had before the finals. He picked a yellow hoddie with the word 'meat' on it together with a pair of blue jeans. Without a thought, he threw off his shirt and started to unfold the new one. Kageyama took a step behind the small boy and kissed his neck softly. Hinata jolted in surprise and turned around.

"What?" The tall boy asked.

"N-Nothing I just got a little startled that's all." He said holding his hand to his heart.

"Why? I'm always doing that, it's no different from other times. What's wrong Shouyou?" He asked concerned.

"...Well it's the end of our second year and after summer, we're going to become 3rd-years. It feels so weird thinking about it." Hinata put on his shirt and sat on the bed with Kageyama beside him. The dark haired boy put an arm around his waist. But Hinata didn't tilt his head against his shoulder like he always does.

"...Yeah it's really strange. But it's just a part of growing up, it's not like you can stop time or something." Hinata giggled after what Kageyama said.

"You sound like an old grandpa." He laughed. The tall boy blushed and shoved Hinata's face into his pillow.

"Shut up dumbass!" He growled. Hinata wiped away a tear from laughing before continuing.

"Sorry! Anyway, so we're also supose to apply for college soon too. It's like the school is printing it in our brains, it's really frustrating! I mean, I don't even know what I want to do after college, do you know Tobio?" The small boy sat up again with the pillow between his legs.

"Of course, it's simple. Volleyball." He said with a straight face. That was the whole truth, of course it's simple, it's volleyball. In Kageyama's head, volleyball is the only thing that matters, after Hinata that is.

"Yeah but-" Hinata's little sister knocked on the door in the middle of their conversation. Natsu stood in the opening to the slight darkened room with a few lights. She was now 12 years old and a lot taller than when Kageyama first had met her. Well of course, he didn't see any difference considering he had seen her a lot after he and Hinata started dating. Her orange curls had grown longer and she had one ponytail instead of two. Ever since she started her growth spurt, Hinata had feared that she might become taller than him. Which was not impossible if you think about it, their mom was an average height and Hinata (and Natsu right now) was below that.

"Get out Natsu, we're in the middle of something!" Hinata said out of irritation because of his little sister interrupting.

"Mom says it's time for dinner! You can make out later!" She said skipping downstairs and out of sight.

"Y-You're not supose to know what that is!" The flustered boy said and shortly after that tailed after her. Kageyama sighed, his boyfriend was just too cute.

He walked downstairs and sat down on his chair beside Hinata. His mom was about to bring the food while everyone waited impatiently for her to sit down. Kageyama and Hinata became really hungry after the volleyball tournament they had that day. If they didn't get any food soon, they would problay start to eat eachother instead.

"Here you go boys! You two did great in the finals today, I'm so proud of you! But I'm pretty sure you're starving, right?" She smiled. As soon as she put the food on the table everyone started to dig in. Hinata and Kageyama ate like there wasn't a tomorrow. Well, they always have. While eating with eachother it's always turned into a competition of who could eat the fastest or something like that. Nobody really knows why, not even them.

After dinner Kageyama had to leave because of a family trip to his grandma's house in the middle of nowhere for the rest of the weekend. If he didn't had to go, he would problay stay day and night with Hinata at Hinata's home, at their home. But sometimes it's good to be apart from eachother so it wasn't the end of the world. He could handle it, they would be together again soon anyway.

Hinata watched his boyfriend put on his shoes and such. Even there, he felt a little empty knowing that he would not be with Kageyama for the rest of the weekend. It's not often they're apart, and of course it hurt every single time something like this happened.

"See you soon?" Kageyama said holding the handle to the door. Hinata just nodded without looking him in the eyes. Kageyama knew exactly what was going through his mind. He kissed the small boy on the head and smiled, leaving his boyfriend for the weekend.

"Aw Shouyou! You two are just so adorable as always!" His mother creeped up behind him while he watched Kageyama walk out of sight. The small boy jumped out of surprise.

"Mom!" He complained, cheeks heating up.
