And I wouldn't trade it for the world.
HARRY'S POV
"Haz, what's on your neck?" I feel my heart fall right out of my ass as my 'dad' looks at me with a puzzled look on his face.
"Er, uh, it's uh-"
"It's a hickey. This girl Lanie gave it to him. Don't be so shy, Haz! It's just you dad!" Louis says with a bright smile. God, he is always saving my ass.
"Y-yeah. That's where I was last night. W-with Lanie." I say, trying not to stutter on my words, but I fail miserably at doing so.
I squeeze Louis' thigh and he look at me. I smile at him, showing off my dimples, and he nods and smiles back. The corners of his eyes crinkle when he smiles.
Louis' mom looks at him and he shoots her a look and she glares back at him.
"Lou, dear, can you help me in the kitchen?" Johannah asks and Louis nods.
LOUIS' POV
"What's going on, Lou?" My mum asks, annoyance clear in her voice.
"What are you talking about, mum?" I groan.
"Harry was with a girl last night?!" She whisper-yells.
"Ugh, no! Harry's dad doesn't know he's gay! I had to lie. I don't want him finding out, mum!" I say.
"Louis, I am in the middle of this! I've walked in on you both snogging! I like Mark, and I don't want to start our relationship out with a bunch of lies." She tells me.
"Can he stay the night here? I need to talk to him about all of this."
"I don't know, Lou." She sighs.
"Mum! Please!" I plead with her.
"Fine!"
I turn on my heels with a groan and walk back to the dining room.
"Sorry we took so long." My mum smiles, but glares at me out of the corner of her eye.
HARRY'S POV
"So, how long have you and, what was her name, Linda, been together?" Louis' mother asks with a very sarcastic grin on her face.
"Lanie. And we aren't together. It was a mistake and I don't plan on seeing her anymore." I shoot back.
She glares at me and I already know why.
"Mr. Styles, do you mind if Harry stays the night here? We've got a project due tomorrow in Chemistry and we are almost done, but we need to finish it." Louis asks.
"I don't see why not, only if it's okay with Johannah, of course." My pathetic excuse of a father says with a bright smile. I scoff quietly and mentally thank Louis for saving me from that hell hole.
"Oh, it is quite alright with me." She smiles.
We finish our food and continue to talk for another hour and a half. I don't talk much, I mostly nod and laugh at whatever they are discussing.
"Isn't that right, Haz?" My thoughts are interrupted by my dad.
"What? Sorry, I was zoned out for a minute." I chuckle.
"I said we have a lovely home and it would be great if Johannah and Louis visit sometime." He fake smiles.
"Oh, yeah, of course. That would be nice." I smile.
"Well, it's getting late and I have work in the morning." My dad laughs.
"You're sure it's alright if he stays here?" He asks Louis' mom and she just nods.
She walks him to the door while Louis and I clear off the table in silence.
When she gets back, she barges into the dining room.
"Harry, what is going on?" She asks firmly, but not in a rude way, which is what I was expecting.
"Er, my dad. H-He doesn't know that I like boys." I tell her.
By this time, Louis is at my side with his arm wrapped around my waist and his hand softly rubbing small circles on my back.
"What could possibly go wrong if you told him?" She presses.
"Not trying to be disrespectful, but you don't know the him that I know. My brother Ashton is bisexual and my dad kicked him out of the house." I explain.
"I see. I'll keep your secret to myself, but if you hurt my son, I will not hesitate to spill the beans." Johannah replies.
"Okay, then. Want to go upstairs now, Haz?" Louis asks me.
"Y-yeah, that sounds good."
Louis and I walk up the stairs to his room and sit down on his bed.
"Haz... What's wrong?" Louis asks me after a few moments of silence.
"I just, I just don't know what to do, Louis." I tell him.
"What do you mean?"
"I don't want to hurt you and if we continue to do what we are doing, that's exactly what's going to happen." He looks at me with look of puzzlement.
"Harry, don't be silly. You aren't going to hurt me." He moves closer to me and embraces me in a hug.
"I hope you're right." I mumble, and luckily Louis doesn't hear me.
"Let's get changed and then watch a film, yeah?"
"Okay, Lou."
