In May of 2016, there was a girl named Mai. She was fifteen. Mai lived with her mom because her dad had died in a car crash after she was born. She was scared of being home alone because her older sister Bobby was kidnapped when Bobby was home alone. So Mia would go to the park after school instead of going home.
Her mom was off early one day from work and saw her daughter was not home so she called Mai. Her Mom asked her, "Where are you?"
Mai said, "Home, why?"
Her Mom said,"No you are not! Where are you?"
Mai said, "The park. Why?"
"Because you are suppose to come straight home after school," said her mom.
"Okay mom, I'm on my way," said Mai.
One day Mai was walking straight home after school when some guy stopped her and said, he was a friend of the family. Mai said, "Let me call my mom and ask her if she knows you."
He said, "No need to do that."
Mia told him, "Yes there is, or are you lying?"
6y He said, "Fine, call her!"
Mai said, "Okay." Mai called her mom who answered and said, "NO! I don't know him!"
Mai ran home and locked the doors and windows until her Mom got home and said, "That is probably the guy who took Bobby. So let's go to the police station."
They did and he was arrested but it was not the guy who took her sister Bobby, who was fifteen when she was kidnapped and now is sixteen. The guy who said he was a friend of the family turned out Mai's uncle on her dad's side that no one knew about, but the uncle knew them. So Mia, her mom, and Bob, her uncle, talked about why his parents put him up for adoption because they thought it was best for him.
'' So Mai talked about the other guy and what he looked like and her Uncle Bob said, "I know that guy. He used to work at my hog barn. His name is Billy Joe and I know where he lives". A police officer heard Bob and started to yell at him, "Where, where?" "One-o-five Pine Street in our town. It looks like no one lives there and no one takes care of the yard," said Bob. "Okay, let's go guys!" the police officer yells at the other officers and they all left.
Bobby was at that house and Billy Joe was at Hy-Vee buying dog food. When he got home he was arrested for kidnapping but he said he did not know how old Bobby was. He thought she was eighteen and homeless because she was alone and forgot her house key at home. She was looking for the hidden key to the house. His wife was on vacation in New York City for the last year visiting family and didn't know about Bobby so he was arrested and held in jail for a long time. One year after he got arrested his wife came back her name is Lucy. She came to their house and Mia answered the door.
Lucy said, "Hello you must be Mia?"
"Hi who are u", said Mia.
"Lucy said, may I come in?"
"No that is not a good idea I don't know u and my mom is not home from the store yet", said Mia.
"MIA" called Bobby.
Mia said, "WHAT"
"WHO IS AT THE DOOR," said Bobby
"Mia said, COME AND SEE."
So Bobby walked to the door and she slammed the door in Lucy's face and locked the doors and windows tell the police got there.
Mia said, "who was that."
"That Was Billy Joe's wife," said Bobby.
"Omg we need to tell Mom," said Mia.
"Ok," said Bobby.
So when their Mom, Bobby, and Mia were waiting for her.
Bobby told their Mom that Lucy was there and know are names, and how something wasn't right. So there Mom said your dad has been trying to get cost of you guys for a year now and Billy Joe and lucy are my families and they are trying to keep u guys with me. Because you guys are my everything and I would die if I lost you guys to him.
