tea parties on the moon

Let's have a tea party on the moon

with my chipped china

and your collarbones

and we'll float above the powdered sugar

sprinkled on the ground

and watch the earth spin through a kaleidoscope.

I think you look very pretty, with

moon dust on your fingers and in your hair

and on your eyelids.

It looks like midnight beaches

with sunlight meeting moonlight

like abstract flecks of gold and silver paint.

Let's share a fishbowl helmet

and dance to crackling vinyl.

I lost my phone.

so we'll have to look at the stars instead

and maybe you'll hold my hand

but only if you'd like.
