I jolted out of my sleep from a loud crashing sound from downstairs. I looked over to my nightstand and picked up my phone and saw that it was 2.16 am, oh no not this again, I thought to myself. I hear that sounds over again for the next 3 minutes he's really angry this time, then I heard silence, he must have passed out I can relax now, I thought to myself and sighed in relief. Then out of nowhere I heard my name being yelled " shit what should I do " I whispered quietly " I'm coming for you ugly bitch, stop hiding" my uncle said
Run was the first thing that came to mind when I heard those words being yelled. I quickly grabbed my escape bag from under my small bed, I picked up my phone and charger from my night stand and my favorite teddy bear, that I got from my mom before she passed away from breast cancer. I was 7 years old when she passed to young to understand what was happening but I was still heartbroken we couldn't do the things we've planed to do together. My dad left me the day before her funeral. I was all alone, I've always felt something else missing but I couldn't figure it out. Here I am at the age of 19 running away from my abusive uncle.
I quickly grabbed my black and white vans and shakenly put them on as fast as I could. AS soon as I heard him stumble into our bathroom I sprinted out of my room towards the stairs. He heard me and started chasing me, I was surprisingly faster than him. I ran as far and as my legs would let me. I end up at the nearest bus station and got on the first bus that I seen, I didn't know where I was going but anywhere other than being there was safer. The last stop was the airport. I walked inside and scanned around for somewhere to rest a bit. I looked up at the flight schedule board and saw that a flight to Seoul, South Korea would be boarding at 12:15 pm later on today, the greatest idea popped into my head. I pulled out my yellow iPhone 5c and found Kim Seo-Yeon ( my moms bestfriend since middle school), I dialed her number and she picked up on the 3rd ring.
" hello" Seo-Yeon said " hi noona its me Rayna I'm here at the airport, I had to get away from my uncle Thomas I cant take he's ways anymore and its taking a toll on me. I was wondering if I could come stay with you for a little while, I have the money to buy a plane ticked I've been saving up since I was 10. I will find a job there and pay you rent, I'll do anything to help around the house, just please help me" I practically begged " of course my love I would do anything to help my goddaughter, I will send my son Namjoon to come and pick you up right on time" she sounds sincere " really!?" I asked " yes its going to be fun to finally have a girl around, I will see you when you get here" she replied happily. " okay noona I will see you soon, thank you soo much" I said " your very welcome, now get some rest oaky bye" she said " okay see you soon bye" I replied. I went to go pay for my ticket. I went back to my seat and pulled out my headphones and started listening to my favorite Sam Smith album ' In The Lonely Hour and quickly fell asleep.
