Light In The Darkness

Halloween is on fast approach so here's my RWBY contribution, Ruby the Queen of Vampires and Weiss master vampire huntress who hates everything to do with the creatures of the dark.

"ITS NOT SAFE RUN!"

RUBY NO! NOT RUBY!"

"LEAVE HER ALONE!"

-CLASH-

-THUD-

There's a women in white laying on the ground surrounded by nothing more than trees and the snow falling around her. Her clothing no longer neat nor  clean, Slashes covered her chest and arms, as sign of defence, her face twisted, wet lines of fresh tears deemed her face her eye fixed a indent in the snow a size of a child. 

Ruby keeled beside the women her eyes stinging with tears it was too late, it was always to late, she would never be fast enough. Why didn't she listen. Why didn't she run. these question always ran around her mind as her hand went to close the women's eyes Ruby was pulled from the nightmare once again. 

-distant screams- 

Ruby's eyes snapped open at the loudness of the sound, she was currently sat in a tree. "For the love of god why do humans not understand beauty sleep!" Ruby growled and jumped down from the tree she pulled her cloak hood up and walked towards the sound of the loud screams and pulled Crescent Rose out as she walked. When she came to the origin of the noise her body couldn't move quick enough, a pack of beowolves were circling someone,she had to save them she wasn't going to let this be like the nightmare. She ran like a blur only rose petals left in her wake.She turned crescent rose around and fired several shots rounding them off as warning to the grim. She stood between the human who was curled up in a white cloak and the beowolves, she snarled at any that came near. to her left a beowolf jumped claws raised at Ruby but her reflexes were too fast she spun her self round the weapon flowing like water slices it in half the body  turning to dust before the hit the snowy ground. She turned to see if the cloaked person was okay. When doing this two beowolves came bounding towards her, before she could react blue glyph's appeared under them and shot upwards and split the beowolves into pieces. The culprit of the glyph's was the person on the floor they stood up their cloak falling and in it wake stood a short women with snow white hair and a dust cylinder rapier in her hand pointed at the remaining grim, a large cut dawned the left side of her face it running down for just above her eye to the bottom of her cheek. Her stance was wobbly has she tried to focus the remaining of her sight on the grim present. Ruby came to the side of the women her weapon wrapped around them defensively , there were only two beowolves left Ruby saw her chance and ran forwards her gun blasting them in their legs she jumped high in their air her scythe coming straight down on to the skull of one,  standing she side swipe the other and finishing them both off with a shot to the head. Turning to see the young women Ruby didn't have enough time to catch her as her body fell into the snow.  

'its just like the nightmare! she's dead and I wasn't fast enough' her mind racing Ruby ran to the women skidding on her knees next to her she check her pulse pulling away the scarf she had to get to her neck Ruby froze. Around the white haired girls neck was Schnee pendent a snow flake, the notorious vampire hunter. Ruby shook her head. 'no we need to help even if she is a Schnee' shaking her head again she can help. Getting closer to her she check the girls pulse it was weak but she was alive so Ruby picked the young women up bridal style and ran to the only place she knew was safe her home.
