part 18 | final round - takeyama vs bakugou

"Whoa whoa whoa!! What was that?! Did you see the explosion those two created!?! It almost looked like one you see in the movies But what happened?!" Midnight took a step forward & saw that Bakugou was of bounds, she goes to call it but she also saw Kyoshu unconscious out of bounds

"Bakugou-san & Takeyama-san is out of bounds!!" the dust cleared up & we saw that both her & Bakugou were out of bounds covered in burn marks 

"Then who's the winner?! Are they going to do a tiebreaker like with Tetsutetsu & Kirishima?" people questioned

"I don't think they can."

(Takeyama Kyoshu POV)

My eyes snapped open as I shot up with a gasp, I felt sweat roll down my face as I panted a bit. I look around & see I was in the infirmary room, I look to my side & see Recovery Girl-sensei walking up to me

"You're finally awake."

"How long was I out?"

"What should've been a few hours, but miraculously a few minutes. That last attack you did on young Bakugou did a toll on both your's & Bakugou's body. That's the second time you created a giant explosion on your opponent." I shrugged sheepishly

"Did I win?" she shrugged her shoulders

"I am not entirely sure. Both you & Bakugou were out of commission at the end, & with the wounds I don't think its a wise choice to do a tiebreaker. So I believe they're going to make it a tie." I nodded my head before pumping my fist

"Yes!"

"Calm down please, your wounds are still healing, but I healed you enough to walk. Now get going! They're doing the reward ceremony soon."

"Oh that's right!" & I ran out back to the stadium but was pulled back, it was Midnight-sensei

"I'm glad you're awake, I was going to send Todoroki-kun to fetch you."

"No problem, hey Shouto. Uh, where's Kacchan?" I asked, the two went silent "Never mind." she led us to the podiums & I watch as Shouto stood on 2nd, I grin when I saw Shio-chan stand on third but & I sweat drop when I saw where Kacchan was "Oh..." Kacchan appeared to be strapped up in a straitjacket, a muzzle was covering his mouth & he was squirming glaring in both mine & Shouto's direction

"Speak of the devil."

"Mm." I awkwardly stood next to Kacchan on the 1st podium before all three were lifted up to be presented to the public & I saw everyone eye Kacchan down nervously, I just scratch my arm as I look away

"Now I wonder what happened while I was out." Shouto & I both sweat drop as we could just faintly hear him cursing at the both of us, the crowd cheered suddenly so I look over & saw the man of the hour

"Citizens! I am here to present the medals!!"
"Our very own hero, All Might!!" Midnight cheered over him, the crowd went silent "I talked over you..." I sweat dropped again, All Might was then giving everyone a big speech, blah blah blah, he first presented Shio-chan with a bronze medal, then Shouto with a silver medal, he then came up towards us

"You did wonderful young Takeyama, I am utterly impressed by your combats skills, the use of your quirk & strategies!" I bow my head & he put the medal around my neck "The hero course is definitely well suited for someone like you!"

"Thank you, All Might!" All Might then hugged me & I couldn't help but hug him back

"& I mean every word of it!!" he then turned & looked at Kacchan, I had a feeling I knew what was going to happen I shuffle away a bit "You leaved up to your promise. Wonderful." I watched he pulled the muzzle off Kacchan's mouth & I sweat drop while covering my ears when he started to scream 

"ALL MIGHT... THIS WIN DOESN'T MEAN SQUAT. DOESN'T MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS. IF I DON'T RECOGNIZE IT, THEN THE THAT MEDAL'S JUST GARBAGE!!" 

"That face... hmph, in a world that's constantly graded on a curve... there aren't many people who can continuously be on top." I raise an eyebrow when he pointed at me "Though I can't say the same for young Takeyama here."

"What is that suppose to mean sir?" he just shook his head & lifted the other golden medal up 

"So accept this! As a wound even! So you don't forget it!"

"I DON'T WANT IT!!" I sweat drop again when Kacchan refused to let him put the medal around his neck so he just... let it hang in his mouth

"Seriously...?" he then looked back at the crowd

"Well!! These are our winners!!" he then raises his hand to the sky "Everyone!! Say it with me!! One, two, three..."

"PLUS ULTRA!!!"
"Thanks for the hard work!!"

"Um..." I start laughing when the crowd starts screaming & booing at All Might, I then look down at the medal around my neck & I lift it up "Hmm, first place feels nice, don't you think cous?" he just continued to glare at me as I smile
