He walks across the room to me
And I slowly start to lose the ability to breathe
As he sits down and starts to talk to me
I realize that I have no idea what he is trying to say
"Why do you like him?" they all ask
Do they not know that I ask myself that every day?
We are on opposite sides of the universe,
how could I fall for someone like him?
From his side of the universe,
Everything seems so clear
He is always so assured
While I am always questioning
From the day of that party,
When he wouldn't talk to his usual crowd
He talked to me and my friend
He left his side of the universe to find me
Could this mean something?
I wish that I could understand him
Understand his perspective
from his end of the universe, opposite to me
"Why do you like him?" my friends like to ask
I guess the words "I don't know" aren't a good enough answer
To this simple question
That I cannot answer
He sits there, on his end of the universe
He is never at a loss for words-
Which is kinda funny because words are not his strong suit
I guess they aren't mine, either
He still sits there, next to me
Talking away, I still have no idea what he is saying
We could talk the day away when we are together
From his side of the universe, he smiles back at me
