A whisper from nowhere wakes me up suddenly

In the middle of the night

The call of the wild,

I get out of the tent.

The smell of the fire that's no longer burning flies through thin air ,

The last bit of smoke is trying to soar above the ashes.

I sit on my chair comfortably,

Take a sip from my hot chocolate,

Then turn my eyes to the sky, again.

I notice the whispers belonged to the stars

Stars... the eternal watchers of the universe

Blink at their lonely friend and shine as if trying to say

There is and will always be light even in the darkest things.

They become more and more as I stare into their home

Giving me hope and the taste of curiosity,

Inspire me and guide my dreams,

The more I watch them, 

They hypnotize me with their beauty

My eyelids close, and I sleep
