"(Y/N)!" I turned around to see my long lost twin Kai. I could feel tears well up in my eyes. I thought uncle killed him! Is it really him? I quickly ran up and hugged my twin. "Kai! You're ok! I thought you died!!" My voice was quiet and my eyes began to fill with tears. I heard him chuckle slightly at my statement. "I'm not dying as long as you're alive." I couldn't hold in my tears any longer and let out a small sob. " K-Kai? Is it really you and not an imposter?" I quietly asked. " Of course it is, my lady." I hugged him tighter. I'm sure by now I was crushing my twin. "(Y/N).. I.. can't breathe..!" He managed to say. "Oh! I'm so sorry!" I got to my feet and brushed off my dress. "It's great to see you again Kai, twelve years really is a long time, isn't it?" Kai smiled and nodded. "This time I'm not leaving you."

"Who would have thought you would be the next heir to the throne after Naoko. I'm surprised Kyo isn't king. He is our older brother after all." Kai said. "Yes, it is quite a shock."

~Time skippu~

I sat outside at the table under the sakura tree. I then notice Kai coming to me with tea in hand. I smiled and clapped my hands together. A few months have passed since Kai returned. Those months have been wonderful. Kai hands me a cup of tea that I sip slowly. It was quiet. A comfortable silence instead of awkward. I finish my tea and Kai guides me back inside the palace. Another beautiful day has passed.

More months have passed.

"(Y/N)!!" I look at Kai and smile. "Good morning brother!" I chirp happily. I can't help but notice a sad look in his eyes. Kai shoves a cloak my way. I look at him confused. "What's this for Kai-" "(Y/N) you have to get away from here! They want you dead!" I can't speak. "K-Kai..? What are you talking about..?" I manage to speak. Kai hugs me tightly. I hear him sigh. "(Y/N).. please, take this and go. Run far away! Don't stop for anything! I can't let you die.." I do as told.

"(Y/N)? (Y/N)! Wake up!" I open my eyes to see my friend Kiibo shaking me. He stops and smiles when he sees me start to open my eyes. "There you are! You fell asleep under the sakura tree again. You were crying in your sleep. Are you alright?" He asks me. "Oh. I'm alright." He smiles again. "Good." He holds out a hand and helps me up. It's great to be back home again after I was proven innocent. I wish Kai was still here though. I miss him so much. Not a day passes where I don't think of him.

Kiibo looks up towards the sky, and back to me. "We should probably get back inside before it starts to rai-" just then lightning flashes across the sky and a clap of thunder rumbles, slightly vibrating the ground. "You were saying Kiibs?" I tease. He scoffs and glares softly at me. He takes my hand as we start to walk inside, thunder rumbling in the distance. "You do know I hate that nickname, right (Y/N)-chan?" He says. "Yes. Although I could call you something else, I don't really want to." I giggle slightly as his mouth forms a thin line. We then hear a scream coming from the hallway inside. Kiibo and I look at each other and run inside. "What happened!" I shout. "WERE OUT OF CAKE (Y/N)!!" Rokuro cries. "Roku... We can always make more!" I face palm internally and glare at my older brother. He grins at me. "Yes, but Mrs. Shinji makes the best cakes and pastries." I sigh and begin fidgeting with the ruffles on my dress. "Why don't you ask her for a few recipes Kyo?" He frowns. "I have no need to (Y/N), I'm already amazing at cooking!" He exclaims. "Kyo... If you're so 'amazing' then try baking a cake!"

Kiibo watches as Kyo and I continue to argue over Mrs. Shinji's sweets, and him learning to bake like her. "(Y-Y/N)-chan, it's getting late. Shouldn't we be off to bed?" Kiibo asks to stop the argument from getting worse. "Kiibo, you can but I have other stuff to deal with." He nods. "If you insist.. goodnight (Y/N)-chan, Rokuro. Rokuro then turns to look at me. "Would you like any tea (Y/N)?" I nod. "If you could, I would like milk tea." He nods, "As you wish my lady." He then walks back into the kitchen. I stand in the hall in silence for a while. Kyo comes back with a small cup of tea. "Here my lady, your milk tea." I gently take it from his hands. "I am your sister Kyo, you can call me by my name." He looks at me for a second. "But you are the queen of this country, it respectful for me to call you my lady." I take a sip of tea before answering. "Very well then." He smiles at me. "How does it taste?" He asks. "It tastes very nice, thank you." I finish the rest of the tea and he takes the cup from my hands. He then walks back into the kitchen. I stand there in silence, looking at the door he disappeared into.

I then start to walk away, my floor length pigtails slightly dragging behind. Without grabbing an umbrella or cloak, I walk outside through the rain and towards the graveyard across town, to visit Kai's grave. I first stop at a little flower shop to get a few roses. "Ah! Good evening lady (Y/N)! How are you feeling?" Asks the shopkeeper Ren. "I'm doing well Ren, how are you?" He gives me a closed eye smile. "That's good. I'm doing well as well my lady." I smile back at him. "Do you have any roses?" He nods. "Yes, I have plenty of roses, the usual pink ones?" I nod. "Very well." He gives me five pink roses. "Don't pay, I know they are for Kai. I stop and my eyes widen slightly. He walks out from behind the counter and embraces me in a hug. "I'm sorry (Y/N), I didn't mean to make you cry" he strokes my hair gently as I cry into his shoulder. "You didn't mean to, it's alright." I wipe away my tears, as he gets down and kisses my gloves hand. "Be safe my lady, it's dark and raining. I'd hate for you to vanish." I nod and take the roses while walking out of his shop.

I enjoy Ren's company. He's sweet. I then continue the walk in silence. As I walk I see a boy with purple hair, slightly curled at the ends, sleeping under a Sakura tree. He looks soaked and cold.As the curious girl I am I walk over to him. I get down on my knees and look at him. I hesitantly poke his cheek. He then opens his beautiful amethyst eyes.
