Darien POV
"I want team A to go east and cover my team. B team go west and cover team C. C team takes south and free the hostages. My team goes straight in. Ready?" I tell my captains. We are currently infiltrating a pack whose alpha went off the deep end after his mate died.
"We're ready to go alpha," my captains tell me. I nod and signal for troops to move out. I lead my team straight through the front door. So far so good but these thing never go as planned do they. Suddenly 5 wolfs jump out in front of us. I grab the nearest one and knock him out. Every pack member here will be tried later on. I see the rest of the team handle the other 4. I signal for us to go upstairs. We find the alpha tearing off a young child head. If that doesn't convince you he's messed up, I don't know what will.
"Alpha get on the ground. You are under arrest for failing to for full your pack duty and guiding your pack to the ground!" I shout. He quickly turn into his wolf and bares his teeth at me. Growling he jumps at me. I side step and bring my knee full force on his stomach. Before he can recovery I grab a tranquilizer pen and stab it into him. Yes even this insane bastard get a right to a trial. We put sliver infused handcuffs with wolf bane around his hand.
"Take him out of here." I take out my talkie. "Team B and C status update."
"We have the hostages and are taking them to the vehicles now." My beta reports. I smile. Another mission perfectly executed.
"Good, meet you back at home base." I tell him. I still need to bring this guy in. I carry him into a holding cell at Council Hall. I wave to the guard on the way out. I'm ready to hit my bed. I walk into the pack house and caught the most delicious scent but before I could trace it it disappear. I could hear my wolf whining to go find out where it came from but my body had other plans. The second I hit the pillow I was out.
The morning had me making sure the house for the people we recused yesterday was in prefect order. The council decided it would be better for these young girls to have a place of their own until they got used to pack life. We had 15 girl coming ages 12 to 19 coming. Some girls would have to bunk up with each other sense we only had 9 rooms ready. We had hoped to have more rooms ready but construction was delayed for various reasons. The vans put up on and enter the garage. 14 girls came out of the cars. All had a waery expression on their face and looked to be made of skin and bones. My heart broke looking at these girls. An alpha was there to protect not treat people like this. I shook my head. I walked over to the garage door and opened it.
"Welcome girls." I say they all turned and looked at me. I could see fear in their eyes so stayed back. "This will be your home and safe heaven until you feel comfortable enough to live some where else. We have 9 bed rooms ready for you to choose from. Please come in and looked around." I say while I back away from the door frame. The girls slowly come in and start gasping and oohing and a few "this is really ours?" could be heard for the small group. "We get a whole just for two of us?" a small girl around 13 asked me. I just smile and nod. This gives the girls more confidence and they go exploring their new home. Every few minutes you can hear squealing or just gasp of amazement. I go over to my beta and his mate.
"Where's the 15th girl?" I asked.
"She was requested to stay at the hall for one more night. She was there the longest. Every one of those girls look up to her. I think that she was a mother figure got most of them." He replies, shaking his head.
"Oh that's fine. I think it's time for me to go." I state as I see the girls are coming back onto the room. My beta's mate gives me a odd look.
"Why in the world would you need to leave?" She asked.
"These girl are scared of me, Betty and they need a relax full environment." I say while leaving through the garage door. But I stick my head back in for a second. "Hey Betty, could you ask them what type of pizza they like? Just send me a text and I'll order it." She nods and swooshes me away. I laugh at her antics. I head for the pack hospital, there were no death yesterday but a few wolves did get wounded. I walk in an instantly a little pair of arms surround my waist. I turn to see it my 5 year old niece.
"Hello Liny, what can I do ya for?"
"Uncle Dar, daddy won't let me go make friends with new pack members." She stated. Now in her world this is the worst thing you could to. Liny is the most social girl on the planet. Telling her can't be friend with someone is like telling her a family pet died. I sigh.
"Why don't we go see your dad and try to convince him otherwise okay?" I tell her then it hits me. Why is she at the hospital. "Liny why are you at the hospital?" I asked her.
"Oh that's simple. Mommy's water broke this morning. I hope my water never breaks it sounds painful. So we're here to get it fixed." She tell me. Its always interesting to get a kids point of view on something. I go up to the nurse desk and asked where I find my sister.
"Room 102" she tells me. I had to yell the thank you because Liny was already puling me to the room.
"Why was the uncle not info of this." I asked my brother.
"Well everything happen so fast and you were busy helping set up the house for those girls. We just didn't want to disturb you." My lovely sister in law Amerada said.
"Fine. I forgive you. What's the baby name?"
"James Finn Jones." My brother replied.
"Uncle you promised to talk to daddy!" Liny stated.
"Oh yeah Parker. I think Liny would bring a smile to the faces of those girl." Parker raises a eyebrow at me.
"Liny the answer is still no. Those girls need to settle in before people can be their friend. I promise that when its okay with them I'll bring you over and you can meet them, okay?" Parker tells her while she sits on his lap. I head out and visit my men who were injured in yesterday battle. My phone beeped and I see that Betty finally send me the order for the pizzas. I get those ordered and head to my office to get some paper work done.
