ava's POV
*bell rings*
"oh look! it's music now." kyle says
"nice, can't wait" i reply
we walk over to the music room together, ignoring the jealous looks we get.
let me introduce myself, i'm ava the most popular girl at school and kyle is my crush. he is one of the cutest guys at school and let me say way too many girls have liked him. he's also one of the sweetest, but i could never tell him that i like him. we have a really strong friendship so if it were awkward it would be devastating.
i've liked kyle since the beginning of this year but only a few close friends know about my embarrassing crush.
we turn the corner and arrive at the music room. the music room is everyone's favourite place to hang out, it's big, it's loud and so many unexpected things happen there.
anika and isabelle both are both smirking and giggling together. i give them a look to get them to shut up. geez, these two might be my close friends but they are so hard to manage sometimes
"i love you guys but stop teasing me" i whisper
"BUT IT'S SO CUTE" isabelle replies in the loudest voice ever.
a few people turn their heads, thankfully none of them are kyle.
"shut up, shut up you don't know how loud your being" anika says
"oh oops sorry i get a bit carried away sometimes"
then kyle turns around and his friends smirk. wait. is he blushing? no...
does he like me? no, he would never, it's like i don't know. i'm not his type and i'm too far into the friendzone for him to do that.
"hello? ava? snap out of it"
oops sorry.
"are you thinking about kyle not liking you again because i swear he does, all he does is stare at you in class and always tries to talk to you."
"no he doesn't, we just always end up working together and we're good friends."
"whatever you say ava"
***
i'm distracted by my classmates suddenly not talking, what's happening?
"hey ava, can i talk to you for a second"
"sure"
kyle drags me away from the rest of the class
"well, uh. i don't know how to put this without making it awkward"
oh no, it's over. he's found out that i like him and now he's gonna tell me that he can't be friends with me anymore.
"i-i like you ava."
what? he, out of all people, the cutest and sweetest guy likes me?
i look down trying to hide the blush forming on my cheeks.
"sorry. i shouldn't have said anything, i-i understand."
he turns around but before he walks away, i grab his hand.
"no kyle, wait! i-i like you too and i have since the beginning of this year."
he leans in, and i do too. whoa this is actually happening, never have i ever dreamed of this before. we're about to lock lips until...
*click*
i move back from kyle and i see that all my friends and his friends have gotten their phones out and are now videoing this or taking pictures
i hear a really loud AWWWW and i roll my eyes. of course isabelle had to. i can't stop laughing though, she may be really annoying but at least she didn't make it as awkward as it is.
"KEVA, KEVA, KEVAAAAAAAA!"
i take that back.
