Chapter: 12 What's The Worst That Could Happen.

"What!" I yelled.

Bonnie puts her arms up in surrender "Hey! it was his idea! I swear!" she said.

"Girls!" Mom snapped her fingers. We both looked at her. "Nate? as in Nate Dawson?" she asked. Nate Dawson? Now it all makes sense. No wonder he never told me his last name.

"Wait, you know him?" I asked her.

"Nate Dawson is Kate's eldest son. He is the Handicap Accessible Vehicle Specialist at Dawson's Auto." she said. 

Go flipping figure. No wonder he's a jerk, he's rich! "Oh, he never told me that" I told her.

She smiled "He's a very kind young man. He's perfect for you Kelly." she said sweetly.

"Mom!" I wailed. Not her too.

"What? It's the truth" she replied.

Bonnie groaned. "Mom, why can't Kelly just see it for herself, and finally realize that the universe actually found her someone?" Bonnie asked.

"Because Bonnie, she's too blind to see it for herself. She will see it and realize it one day" she ended with a smile.

"Hello!" I waved. "I'm still here!" I mean seriously! There is no way i'm going to the dance with Nate! I just want my van back, is that too much to ask! I complained to myself.

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard Bonnie say "Kelly if Nate asked you to the ball would you go with him?" she asked.

"Heck no! you're kidding right?" Let the truth be told.

Bonnie crossed her arms. "Ugh! Your impossible Kelly!" she yelled and she stormed out of the room. I sighed Teenagers and their horomones these days I thought to myself.

I huffed out of irritation and rolled my eyes. Mom was staring straight at me with her, you're-being-ridiculous look. "Oh no, not you too" I whined.

She threw her arms up in the air "well Kelly, all i'm saying is your being a little hard on Nate. He's a good kid and if he does ask you to the dance I think you should go with him." She said.

"But why? Why is this so important to you? Is it because he's rich? Well i'm sorry to break to you mom but I don't date snotty rich kids, that's just not me." I shot back.

"I'm not saying that, i'm just saying don't be hard on him. For the record he is not a snotty rich kid. I watched that child grow up and let me tell you he is a fine young man. That family has been through a lot, and... He could use someone like you." She scowled.

I thought about what mom said for awhile. In a way she was right, maybe I was being a little hard on Nate, because truthfully he wasn't that bad of a guy. He probably is a really sweet guy, maybe I just don't see it. I will admit those days I did see him I was in a bad mood. So either he's the one with the problem, or he just catches me at a bad time. I'm not going to lie Bonnie was right, he is pretty good looking, and for some strange reason I can't help but stare at his eyes. There almost hypnotising. I came to the conclusion of: If Nate asks me to the ball I won't say no but I won't lead him on, and i'm choosing what we wear. Fair enough.

I sighed "Okay, if Nate asks me to the ball i'll say yes, but i'm not leading him on, and i'm choosing what we wear." I told mom.

She smiled and clapped her hands. "Thanks honey, who knows you might actually fall for him." Yeah right I said to myself. She gave me a gentle hug, grabbed her coffee, and headed off to work.

Hey guys! This chapter may be a little shorter I really don't know I just hope you like it and that you're enjoying it. I didn't expect for me to finish today I had the urge to write, what can I say you all inspire me!
