   FOOD
While wolves will eat hares and other small prey, their preferred targets are ungulates, large hoofed animals such as deer and elk. Individual packs will specialize in hunting specific prey species. While most often that is elk, caribou, deer and moose, it can also be bison, muskoxen, Dall sheep or even salmon. A single wolf is capable of catching and killing a deer unaided, but when hunting as a pack they prey on much larger animals, including deer, elk, and moose. Wolves also eat smaller mammals such as birds, fish, lizards, snakes, but also eat fruit. When they get a successful kill, wolves do not eat in moderation. Wolves are misunderstood by many to be aggressive, vicious animals who attack with no provocation In fact, Wolves go out of their way to avoid fights.
    FAMILY
Wolves are very social animals. They live and hunt together in groups called packs. A wolf pack is really just another name for a family of wolves. The certain prevailing view on wolf packs is that they consist of the dominant wolves being referred to as the "alpha" male and "Luna" female. The rest of the pack is usually made up of  their offspring of various ages. Usually, four to six pups are born together in a litter.
   COMMUNICATION
Wolves' vocalizations can be separated into four categories, barking, whimpering, growling, and howling. Sounds created by the wolf may actually be a combination of sounds such as a bark-howl or growl-bark. Barking is used as a warning. A wolf may growl at intruding wolves or predators, or to indicate dominance. The Beta wolf is the second ranking individual within the dominance hierarchy. They show commitment and loyalty to the pack, also acting as a discipliner to reinforce the Alpha's decisions.
      TERRITORY
They scout an area (either a den, cave, or open space) suitable for sleep, and when they have found one just right for the size of the pack and offspring, they settle for the days to come however, wolves rarely stay in one place for a long period of time, so each sleeping territory is normally temporary.
