Ice cream

A/N - So this is an AU where Harry and Draco are 5 years old and best friends. Enjoy :)

"You'll never catch me!"

Draco Malfoy ran across the grass, his best friend right behind him. He began to climb the steep bank ahead, aiming for a clump of trees at the top and gradually getting more and more out of breath. As he slowed down slightly, he could hear his friend gaining on him. He staggered a little on an uneven patch of grass, and that was enough for his pursuer to lunge forward and flatten the blonde to the floor.

"Got you, Draco!" The boy yelled, sitting on his friend's tummy and tickling him, making him squeal with laughter.

The boy laughed, still tickling the now screaming child underneath him. He paused for a second to brush his untidy black hair out if his eyes, revealing a round pair of Sellotape glasses and a thin scar shaped like a lightning bolt on his forehead.

"Harry! Get off!" Draco squealed, trying to push his best friend off of his tummy.
"No way! You deserved that for knocking my ice cream on the floor!"
"I only did it because you knocked MINE on the floor!"
"You flicked it at me!"
"You did first!"

Harry grinned. He had indeed flicked ice cream at Draco's face, but only because he knew he would get a reaction.

"Now get OFF!" With a huge shove, Draco managed to send the raven haired boy tumbling to the ground. Then he sat up and grabbed a handful of grass, before stuffing it down the back of Harry's t-shirt.

Harry screamed and did a bizarre chicken dance to get the grass out. He then launched himself at the blonde, and the two boys rolled all the way down the hill, collapsing in fits of laughter at the bottom.

"Draco!" Narcissa Malfoy called from the stile at the end of the field. "Time to go!"

Draco turned to look at Harry, his smile slowly fading.
"Same time tomorrow?" Harry asked.
"Draco grinned and nodded, before giving his best friend a quick hug and running across the field to meet his mother.
