I woke up with a sharp pain in my side. Squinting in pain, I sat up in bed. Rubbing my side I cursed to myself "Dumb stupid broken rib from training."
I looked at my alarm clock. The clock read five forty-five. I huffed annoyed. I laid down for an hour or so more trying to fall back asleep since it was winter break and I hadn't have to be up until later on.
Not being able to fall asleep I got out of bed and headed towards my bathroom. Checking the mirror while turning on the shower.
I waited a few minutes checking my ribs while the water heated up trying to see if the bruise lightened up yet.
Being a werewolf, We heal more faster than a normal being would. The bruising was almost gone but of course my rib was still broken.
Shrugging my shoulders and stripped down to nothing and got into the shower doing the necessities. Once I was out i dried my hair with a towel and blow dried it.
When I got back into my room, My hair had beach waves in it. Not in the mood to be extra i threw it up with a messy bun with a two stands of hair on both sides to frame my face.
I threw on a black hoodie and my favorite light grey leggings with low top converse.
I grabbed my car keys and headed down my pack houses stairs. Being almost eighteen and all of course I had a license.
I went to the kitchen and grabbed a water. Right when I was about to put my hand on the door knob to the front door, I heard footsteps behind me.
Jumping and spinning around i was relieved to see Alpha Clarkson. "Gosh! You frightened me." I said with a breath of relief. Him being the Alpha and all he's allowed to check out pack houses whenever he wanted.
He looked tired. After a few seconds of silence he gave me an odd look. "Where are you going so early Coral?"
I rolled my eyes and smiled to show him I wasn't trying to disrespect him. "Im going to the cafe out of the land."
He nodded and walked off. Not thinking it was any big deal, I walked out the door and to my gray mustang.
Before unlocking the door, I took a deep breath in exhaling the nature smell.
It was completely silent besides the chirps from baby birds in the tree above me every now and then.
I unlocked my car and got in starting the heat. Winter was right around the corner and so was snow.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
The bell to the cafe door rang when I opened my door. Mrs.Anne the owner of the shop smiled at me and waved me over.
"Hey Anne, how is your morning?"
She smiled exhausted clearly in her eyes. I tilted my head while she started to speak. "Girl, you don't even know but it's better now."
I giggled softly. She went to the coffee machine knowing my typical order. A cappuccino. I never was a fan of coffee before until I started visiting here when I couldn't fall asleep after waking up because Anne likes to catch everyone waking up for work that need coffee.
She always thinks it's how you get more money with all these early birds. She was right cause every few minutes a guy with a suit would walk in, order and, leave or vise versa just women instead.
Me and Anne had small talk to about a few minutes then I was out to head back to my packs land.
A few minutes passed and I got a call from my aunt. She was in Greys pack which is pretty far. "Hey Coral! Have you heard the good news yet?" she said excited. Making a confused face I that i hadn't.
