“Then Day reaches out and touches my hand with his. He encloses it in a handshake. And just like that, I am linked with him again, I feel the pulse of our bond and his- tory and love through our hands, like a wave of magic, the return of a long-lost friend. Of something meant to be. The feeling brings tears to my eyes. Perhaps we can take a step forward together.

“Hi,” he says. “I’m Daniel.”

“Hi,” I reply. “I’m June.” ― Marie Lu, Champion. How we met. Felt like I was gift with a new friendship. A person I could trust my secrets too. A person who was just as afraid to get judge by the way they are. Just Like Me. And her name is….

JUNE. June. How can I describe the beauty of June? How can I describe the aspect of someone so perfect ,but has flaws that she owns up too? She walks in the room. Sun glaring on her chestnut skin. That reminds me of of sweet brown sugar. Her smooth thick curly brown hair flowing down her sharp jawline to her collarbone. That comes down like a magical waterfall. Her beautiful almond shaped eyes lighting up as she talking to her friend as if there’s no care in the world, but deep down you can see the insecurities of not being able to be herself when she first meets someone new.

Her pouty brown lips. That holds a beautiful smile, but at first glance you can see that there is something hurting her deep inside that forces her to put on a smile to cover the pain within. It could be that she has one of her parents at home that she misses the love of  her two parents together that would make it home. Or it could be that she is scared of making a lot of friends that she would leave behind and have to start over again. Or maybe it’s because she feels like she doesn’t have a place in her family because she feels her sister is more important than her. With her being skinny and tall it could be that she doesn’t believe she is as beautiful as girls that wears makeup, have big butts, and have big boobs, because boys only want that these days. She is so insecure about how she does see how all the small things make her who she is…. Beautiful.

The way she bites her nails when she nervous. The way she never grew out of call or parents mommy and daddy, because she is not embarrassed by her parents. The way she is shy, but speaks her mind when needed. Like what one direction said:

I won't let these little things
Slip out of my mouth
But if it's true
It's you
It's you
They add up to
I'm in love with all these little things- one direction
