The 'Mikael' Talk Part 1

Start from the beginning

"To my only family?" Peter chuckles. "You think so low of me?"

"Lower."

Stella steps on Teddy's foot again. Hard.

"I wanna know about my parents," Stella says. "They're very private about their pasts."

Peter nods. "Makes sense. Neither one loves where they came from."

Stella leans forward, her eyes wide and innocent. "Tell me."

"Why doesn't your brother?" Peter asks, turning to the blonde boy. Teddy glares.

Stella glances back at him. "He doesn't know anything."

Teddy's shoulders slump.

Stella scoots away from him. "What do you know?"

Teddy just glares at Peter. "I know what you did. And I know that you tried to kill both of our parents." It is only then that Teddy looks at his sister. "And I know about Mikael."

Peter's heart skips a beat. "You know about him?"

Teddy nods. Stella looks between the two wolves. "Who's Mikael? Is he bad?"

"The worst," Peter answers. "He's the reason your mom is so closed off. But I'm wondering how you know about him. Lexi would never tell you— she didn't even tell your dad."

Teddy slouches in his seat. His green eyes dart around, looking for an escape. "Mom wouldn't talk about him. But Aunt Rebekah and Uncle Kol will."

Stella scowls. "That's why you're the favorite."

"I'm not the favorite," he snaps. "I just put up enough of a stink until they told me. I even got Aunt Cora to talk about the person she killed."

"Cora killed someone?" Peter repeats. "Good for her."

"No!" Teddy exclaims. "Not good! It was life or death. She had no choice."

"And neither did I," Peter says. "not if I wanted to punish Kate."

"Back up," Stella waves her arms in the air. "Who's Mikael? What'd he do?"

Peter sighs, letting his eyes close. To this day, the hatred he feels for the vampire hunter is so great that he has difficulty containing his anger. "Mikael is your grandfather."

Stella stares at him. She opens her mouth to ask another question, but a harsh voice stops her.

"What is going on here?" Stella and Teddy turn to see their Aunt Cora at the door. Her eyes are wide and her jaw clenched. "Teddy, Stella, come here. Now."

Teddy complies instantly. Stella sends her uncle a look before slowly following her brother.

"You should be ashamed, Peter," Cora says, glaring at him.

"I didn't contact them," he replies. "Stella emailed me and set up the meeting."

Cora shakes her head. "Still. The deal was you stayed away from the kids, but you can contact Lexi. That's it. You lost any right to them the moment you killed your niece and betrayed your pack."

Peter just leans back in his seat. "Congrats on the blue eyes."

Cora glares at the back of his head, wishing she could slash his throat open. Teddy places a hand on her shoulder, "Aunt Cora, let's go."

With a final glare, Cora escorts the kids out of the shop and into her car. "Your mother is gonna be so pissed."
