"Syl I really don't get why are you so fascinated with this old stuff, It's kind of scary sometimes don't you think?" she asked her only son. Mrs. Mari Langley a petite woman in her 40's who is wearing a cream dress standing so elegantly inside the antique shop.

She is a famous singer and musician in the land of Wessmor. The wife of the renowned doctor and the owner of the best hospital in the land Mr. Erickson Langley and mother of a well-known genius Syl Langley, her family is considered as one of the richest family in the land.

Her son looked at her and smiled. "Mom I'm a historian so it's just natural for me to like antiques and be fascinated by them," he answered his mother and walk towards her, and spotted the thing that she's holding. He reaches for the item. "May I mother?" he asked her and she gave it to him.

He stares at the earring and he felt something strange, like a pull. It feels like it is not the first time that he had seen and touched this earring. He felt connected like he somehow owned it.

"Syl are you listening?" he was deep in his thoughts when he heard his mother's voice calling him. He looks at her apologetically and smiled.

"You and your obsession with history," she smiled at him and patted his cheek. I really love this face of yours and especially that eyes you have. His mother said while looking at him. He laughed not caring if other people within the shop looked at them disapprovingly.

"Mom this face looks exactly like yours, except for the eyes I got that from dad." What Syl said is true he looked exactly like his mom, except for his unique eye color which is green like an emerald and has blue specks at the center that he got from his dad. He was often mistaken for a girl when he was young, it's a good thing that his much taller now and his voice become quite deeper when he reached adulthood.

He also has a slender body, not a typical body for guys so he tried gaining weight but he failed due to the nature of his profession but he still runs every day to have a fit body and also to enhance his stamina.

Mari looked at her only son with complete adoration evident in her eyes. She loves her son very much but she just doesn't get his fascination when it comes to history and antiques.

Sometimes she wished she also has a daughter that she can dot on, but nevertheless she loves this son of her so much. Besides she and her husband were lucky to have a son like him.

Her son Syl Langley is a well-known medical science researcher and musical genius in the land. He published many medical science researches that proven to be a break-through when it comes to medical advances.

He is also a famous composer and a singer. He had many record-breaking albums sales all throughout the land and unknown to many people her son is a fan of history and thus become a historian. History is his passion he once said to them.

"That is why you should be thankful to this mother of yours for making you so handsome and spare her with your antiques," she said with a teasing voice.

"Alright I'll just wait for you outside and be quick so we can already go to your father and we could eat together. He said he's paying," she said jokingly and winked at her son and then she turned to the door and walk outside.

Syl look at the item that's in his hand,  it's a silver dangle earring which is shaped like a diamond and there is a small crescent moon hanging on the center. He stared at it closely.

It looks like a hundred years old or so and because of the connection he felt earlier he decided to buy it. He searched for the other pair but he can find it at the glass stand in front of him. "Where does mother get this?"  he asked himself. He looked around and saw the old man in the left corner, who just finished talking to a customer.

"Excuse me, sir, Where's the other pair of this earring? I would like to buy them," he asked the man kindly.

The old man walks towards him and when he saw the item he looked at him regretfully. "Sir I'm sorry but that earring doesn't have a pair."

"Is that so?" he stared at the earring intently he didn't notice that the old man walk behind him and reach for the shelf and take out a small wooden box.

"But it comes with this," the old man said behind him. He was startled at first because he didn't know how he was suddenly behind him. He's showing him a small wooden box. Syl looks at the small box in the old man's hand. He reached for it and the old man gave it to him.

He inspects the small wooden box.  It has beautiful flower carvings on its sides and when he opens it he saw a notebook that he's sure that it's a diary. Syl smile at that. I found a treasure. He thought to himself

"How much is this?" he asked not taking his eyes off the box.

"It will be 400,000 piles," the old man answered him.

He looked at the old man and nodded. He handed him his card and the items.

After some minutes the old man came back and handed him the receipt together with his card and the items that were wrapped in a paper, inside a silver paper bag. He thanked him and bid farewell to the old man. Then he walks outside and goes straight to the car where his mother is waiting for him.
