"i blew it! i totally blew it."i grunted to myself as i threw myself onto my bed, causing a loud thump noise.

"johnny ? are you ok?" lauren asks walking into my room.

"i literally just screwed things with me and kenzie!" i said making me face palm. "how could i forget our anniversary?"

"john, kenzie is my bestfriend, i think i know how to help you." lauren said taking a seat next to me on the bed. "you do?" i respond. this is shocking considering most of the time me and lauren are arguing not helping each other out.

"yea! no matter how much me and you bicker, she makes you happy and you make her happy. i wouldn't be able to stand you guys apart! it'd be so depressing." she giggled at the end.

she told me her plan and went to kenzie's house, while i cover the rest of the plan hope this works. i need my girl back.

lauren came over as soon as i had told her the news about johnny and i. we called it off. and so far it sucked i feel so alone. so empty. but he knew how much this anniversary meant to me. two whole years we spent together.

and he forgot. for some reason lauren insisted we go to the beach for sunset. she says it'll cheer me up. i doubt it. nothing can fix the sadness i'm feeling right now.

lauren and i drove separate cars, she would go home after the sunset and so would i. lauren isn't behind me anymore ? maybe she just got caught in traffic a bit behind. i pulled into a parking spot got out my beach blanket and picked a spot.

i sensed someone behind me so i turned to see johnny with a hand full of flowers,chocolates and a picnic basket. i'm so stunned and at a lost for words i just watch him as he sits down next to me. this night isn't so bad after all.

"john-" i tired to speak before he cut me off by explaining himself. his reasoning for forgetting was acceptable and forgivable. he had practice all day for football and three exams today. i forgave him as he pecked me on the lips.

we unpacked the goodies in the basket as he pulls out a necklace. oh my gosh. "johnny, you didn't have too!" i said pushing his hands carrying the necklace marked with "J&K" followed by the date we got together on the back.

"i figured maybe this would help so maybe you don't forget the anniversary" he chuckled. he's such a cutie. he put the necklace on me and we had a stare off.

i'm so lucky. with the most amazing boy infront of me nothing could be wrong. "i love you mackenzie" he said finally. i've been waiting for this moment every day.

"i love you too."
