Disclamer: Thane does not belong to me

Alex sat on her couch, looking out her open window. Well, this wasn't her house. It was abandoned, and broken. She looked at the house next door, it was a light pale pink, and the paint was peeling off. They had awning, but it was so old the wood was broken in some parts. The smell of rain lingered in the broken house as she looked outside. The sky was a gray color, meaning it was going to rain soon. She ran her fingers through her short brown hair, that was a light pink at the end. A small smile crossed her lips as she listened to the first drops of rain. She always liked the rain, it was one of her favorite things in this God forsaken world. It was one of the few things she could count on.

Alex was very old, though she still looked 19. She's been on this world a long time, and she hated it. She hated being alive while all her loved ones died. She wasn't immortal persay, but she was hard to kill. If anyone knew what wouldn't kill her, it was her. She's tried many times to kill herself, but nothing worked. She was a vampire, but in her world, it wasn't a stereotypical vampire. She didn't get hurt by the sun, wood didn't hurt her, neither did holy water. She quite enjoyed garlic, so that was off the table, and no, she didn't sleep in a coffin. Though, she did drink blood. She didn't kill for it, anymore at least. She didn't need to know that humans collected blood for others. She'd be able to mimic a doctor and take the blood she needs. She never went after the uncommon blood though, knowing that she could take a life if she did. She could taste people's sons through their blood though. The more sins a person has, the bitter the blood tastes.

Recently, she's found someone worth her interest, and she hated it. She was already growing attached to the person and it tore her up inside. She knew she'd out live them, and she resented it. The person she was interested in was a 19 year old millionaire. She didn't like him because of his money though. She was interested in him, his personality, who he was. He dyed his hair a bright blue, and he had gorgeous green eyes. Even though she didn't act like it, she liked him. A lot. It's been a week now since she's known him, and they were in a fake relationship.

Alex pulled her pack of cigarettes out of her pocket and lit one as she thought about him once again. She closed her eyes and she took in the awful tasting smoke, though she was used to it. It was almost a sweet taste to her. She looked over at her phone and saw he was calling. She rejected it and grabbed her stuff. She already knew what he wanted. He wanted to know where she was, seeing as she's been out of reach for a day. She pulled her sleeves down and went down the unstable stairs. She loved this house though, it's the only place she could go without being bothered. She exited the house and walked down the porch. She got on her bike and drove off to where Thane lived.
