The great turf war 2

Chapter 1

       I had left the main lobby, looking around the plaza I found her, the inkling with that weird hairstyle I've been seeing around the place, we had known each other for about 3 months.
 
      "Hey, Key," the thing is, she didn't have a name when I first met her, odd, looking back on it. In all honesty, I just called her by the first thing I saw, she had a key in her hand. I don't know what it was for but I don't think I should really ask.
       "Hi, Emilio!" she had a slight accent, as if she was foreign, or something.
        "Do you maybe want to, uh, do some salmon run with me?"
        "I'd love to, I haven't gotten to do it much, and I really want those octoleet goggles! Hopefully they add more things from... uh, that line of clothes!"
        "Really? I think they look kind of ugly... They're so clunky and stuff. Also there's more to it? How does it look?" I began walking towards grizzco when I realized Key wasn't walking with me. I turned around and she had fallen silent. Her mouth drooped on both sides, and her eyes watered. Had she really been that offended on my feelings towards some stupid goggles?
        "Hey... are you okay?" I did kind of feel bad.
        She wiped her eyes and looked at me with content. "Yeah, sorry I'm just remembering old times, forgive me." Her inkling was getting better, she didn't stumble on her sentence that time.
        The news came on and we backed up to look at it, when I looked on the screen...
        "YO WHAT'S UP GUYS, WE'RE HERE WITH YOU LIVE FROM INKOP-"
        "PEARL, SHUT UP. Do you always have to be so loud?" Marina looked odd, a mixture of sadness, anger and dread filled her head.
         Pearl paused, she looked hurt. "Um.. we have a special report, there's a new splatfest or whatever."
         A new splatfest? We weren't told before hand, that's a first.
         Marina took a deep breath and was surprisingly happy, "I'm especially excited for this one! Heh, it's chaos vs order!" The popup sprang into their monitor. Listening to Marina, I had noticed that she had an accent too, the same as Key. Now that I think about it, looking at Key and back to Marina, they had nearly the same hairstyle. Marina's was longer and not wrapped into a tail like Key's.
         "That's weird.... that's not what it says on the scr-" Pearl's doubt was cut short
         "It was a quick update. Naturally, I'm with order. I'm not too into chaos, and rebellion is only sometimes needed, but only if it's done with pride and dignity, and not just some rag tag survival group that fights dirty, with no regard for the-"
         "Haha, Marina, that makes no sense, I'm pretty sure this is talking about rooms being messy or neat. I remember something like this, but yeah, messy rooms are all the rave, yo! Chaos and messes are what we're all about, don't like it? jump in the sea, like a trout, cuz team chaos is here and we scout, looking for scrubs to beat up in and o-" Pearl noticed the glare that Marina presented, and laughed nervously. "Anyway... what side are you on? Go to the terminal and pick a side!"
        Marina had seemed so hostile, she looked determined to win. I have to be honest, I didn't want to play this splatfest but Key encouraged me. I picked team chaos, since my room was a mess and I just wanted the sea shells. I looked at Key, her eyes were jolting back and forth, looking at order or chaos. She took a deep breath, and looked at me.
      "I don't want to play this splatfest, nevermind."
      "WAIT, BUT, YOU MADE ME CHOOSE!" I had regretted choosing.
      "I'm sorry, let's just work a shift at grizzco, okay?" her eyes wouldn't make contact with mine, but she patted the top of my head awkwardly. I had only now realized she was slightly taller than me.
      We headed off and worked some shifts, excited at our earnings....
