this feels almost like a given, but with this book's title, its contents feel pretty self-explanatory. what's on the tin, yada yada yada and all that! essentially, this is a book in which i (meaning anah), along with meenal and maya, give reviews on your books! we have no real conditions, besides given ones about grace and decency--i.e. be respectful, appreciate the time+effort we put in, realize our outside lives are intensely engrossing (seriously, you have no idea), et cetera.
the interesting thing about this account (and by extension this book), is that there are three of us. that means you'll be getting three reviews on your book (unless one--or two--of us is super busy, in which case, we're really sorry!). that's three fresh perspectives on what's good, what's bad, and what's ugly! we promise to be considerate of your time, too--meaning, we're not here to rag on your book or be super intense about small things. we know that you've put in time as well, and we want to acknowledge that. without fail, we will include something positive in each review (criticism sandwich!! yay!!) and do our best to make sure that you leave our review feeling rejuvenated about your own book and ready to write it in the best way possible (so long as you agree with our points, of course .. if you don't, you must do as the brits do and carry on :*!).
to apply for a review, you need to first follow us and then comment w/ this form:

the small note is perhaps the most important part. in it, you must a) confirm the existence of three chapters and b) write at least one thing you'd like us to make a point of focusing on. this one thing can be anything, including but not limited to grammar mistakes, writing style, a specific characterization, whatever you want! also, though it is required that you have three chapters, we will most likely only read the first. if you have 5+ chapters, you may request for us to read a certain chapter you'd like feedback on or are especially proud of. however, if you do so, we kindly ask that you provide a brief context in your comment.
another thing to keep in mind is that we will probably quote parts of your chapter within our review (in order to comment on things such as sentence structure or awkward phrasing) and by doing so will, needless to say, give you the appropriate credit for writing your story.
as of now, i have no guarantee of the format in which these chapters will be. it may be in either a text format or perhaps in a more organized manner w/ definitive sections beneath each of our names. as such:

i don't know yet. but it will be a fairly thorough review of your chapter from all of us and hopefully a nice criticism you'll appreciate hearing. you'll like. probably. :* ! (and, dw, our reviews are not going to be like this six-word example, lol!)
most importantly, please be civil--write to us with tact and benevolence. our first priority is to be to be compassionate and respectful to both your work and you as an individual. our approach should be reciprocated by you as well. please keep this in mind when you read our review. if you don't agree, find it too harsh or unfair, please don't react vehemently or with anger. we're always receptive to your views and your explanations on your work and are ready to listen with an open mind+heart! it is your book after all and no one knows your ideal and thoughts on it better than you. we only ask that you communicate these perspectives with respect and due regard for us as well.
and regardless of opening a discussion with us on your book, opinions are just that--opinions. do not take more critical things too much to heart, or--god forbid--let it taint your ardency for writing. that's not what this book is for at all!!!
