"What's this about a competition with the girls?" The Mushu asked, bleary eyed, yet also looking handsome in spite of his tiredness.
Jian looked at his fellow Chinese born friend, still smiling brightly, "We're seeing who's got the most talented trainees - the female team or us. And the winning group gets treated to dinner, courtesy of the losing side."
Jaeho frowned, running a hand through his surprisingly neat brown hair, despite having just woken up, "We're so going to lose. Like, if there's a rap battle involved, Soonyeon is going to whoop our butts - that girl spits fire."
"Well," Jian replied, still sounding quite optimistic about this particularly daunting task, "I think we'll do fine, and if we do lose then at least we can do it with dignity!"
Another boy, Noah, entered the hallway from a third bedroom, a few doors down from Mushu and Jaeho's, and he was fully prepared for the day, as he was dressed and everything, "If we lose to the girls, my last shred of dignity will go flying out the window. Especially if I lose to my sister." He was referring to Espen, his younger sibling, who was a formidable opponent in terms of skill battles. This was not the first time he has done something like this against her, and on top of that, the rest of the impressively talented female trainees would also be with her.
In other words: they were doomed.
Jian sighed and checked his fingernails in a completely diva-reminiscent manner, "Well if you're all so sure that we're going to lose, I guess I'll just tell CEO-nim that we won't be able to participate and that she'll have to reconsider your merits for other future company activities..." He said in a sing song voice, as he turned his back on the three boys and walked away slowly and deliberately.
They looked at each other once, and Noah answered for the three of them, "Okay, okay! We'll do it, but if we lose, I'm blaming you, hyung." He pointed a finger at Jian warningly.
Their unofficial leader clapped excitedly, "Perfect, now, everyone, get ready if you aren't already - and let's go beat the girls with their own skills and prove that we aren't complete pabos!" He cheered.
Everyone returned the cry with varying levels of enthusiasm, all of them feeling a bit more optimistic about their odds of winning this competition.

MEANWHILE...

"Hurry up!"
"Where's my hairbrush?!"
"You guys are such girls."
"WHERE DID CHAEHA GO-"
"I'm right next to you, unnie."
"Let's get moving - the guys are probably already there!"
A scene of chaos is what would have met the eyes of anyone who had a view of the CMH-GT18 crew (Cross My Heart Girls Team of [20]18). Unlike the boys, the female trainees were already dressed for the day's events, in stylish active/sportswear, and yet they were having trouble getting out the door due to one tiny little issue...
"YOU PEOPLE ARE SO DISORGANIZED." Yewon, the eldest girl out of the group exclaimed in exasperation, dramatically falling onto the couch of their identical dorm to the boys (except theirs was more suited to most of their feminine tastes).
