Jikani walked around, exploring the blood-soaken battlefield. In only 2 hours, she would finally be relieved from her curse for another year.

"Ah, I'm sure going to miss this place." Jikani sarcastically sighed. She has been stuck in this miserable place for roughly 343 years, and she isn't gonna miss it.

Now, it might seem as if being stuck in time must be very relaxing, but that wasn't the same for Jikani. Jikani lived in a time of bloodshed, war and stupidity. The war had been going on for 3 years, well that is how long it lasted for Jikani before she was cursed. Plus, because of the curse, she was stuck in the same area as she had been for 343 years. All that accompanied her was an old, rusty clock from the 1700s (a souvenir she previously got) and a tattered calender.

Jikani wondered around, keeping an optimistic mind on how the world would be like in the present. But thoughts of more war and poverty couldn't escape her mind. Knowing humans, our world could probably be in a war in the present. Racism, sexism, and other incredibly idiotic things. Jikani knew that the human race probably won't be as different as the people her era.

And with that, it was already 11:56pm. When being frozen in time for so long, you find out ways to 'help' pass time. Jikani could almost burst out in excitement, but even that was too tiring for her. She looked up at the clock. 12:0- in an instant, the environment around her slowly faded away, being replaced with tall city buildings, lively crowds and stalls lining down the streets.

'It's beautiful. Well ignoring the smoke in the air, and the gases made from those passing machines.' Jikani thought to herself. Around her were festivities, people in costumes of dragons, bright red stalls selling all sorts of things. It was Chinese New Years. You see, Jikani's start of a new year was Chinese New Years, because she lived in Japan, and in the ancient times too.

However, this was truly a new sight for her. This was a perfect place to 'celebrate' her 350th anniversary.

She could tell this would probably be the best year of her life.
