2017 was yet again the year of controversies and many  hungry for fame "Patriots"  in different ways received limelight regardless of it being positive or negative. Its a shame for a us that we cannot differentiate between positive and negative publicity's but enjoy and cherish this. But the biggest piece of cake in 2017 was taken by glorious RAJPUTS(heir of kings), a community that was formed for protecting the state, a warrior clan that calls itself the pride of India. Last 2 months of 2017 witnessed these self proclaimed kings and queens come out on streets from their comfortable mansions to protest.

Now what if i tell you everything i said in this last line was not exactly true?

Many Eyebrows raised when Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a respected and talented Indian movie director and producer decided to make a movie on a poem written by Malik Muhhamad Jayasi called Padmaavat. Outrage began in April 2017, when a "rumor" broke out that there were "intimate scenes between alauddin khilji's character and padamavati's character", sentimental people without even having a fact check thrashed the set and even assaulted the director and his crew. Later it was proved that it was a blatant hoax and nothing more than an attempt to provoke people. Then for a few months everything came to rest when the outburst came again in November.

This time it was huge.

Things began when a man had allegedly committed suicide as he couldn't stand the fact that Queen Padmaavati will be shown in a movie and shamed. The body of that man was found hanging from one of the most important tourist attraction THE NAHARGARGH FORT. Do you really believe this theory? well I dont.

Next what happened was storming all upon social media and News. Buses were burnt , private vehicles were burnt, the capital city of rajasthan, jaipur was forced to shut for a few days even jodhpur was declared shut for a few days, cinema halls and multiplexes were burnt and a report said the "RAJPUTS" in their ootrage have caused a damage of more than a 100cr to government and private properties. Such great kings and queens to look forward to, but here is the catch, none of the self proclaimed kings and queens came out else they spent money on goons and team of goons called "karni sena" for creating this pandemonium.

There might be some agenda they were fighting over?

The agenda of the self proclaimed Kings and queens (the most funny thing is they still call themselves kings and queens and above all they call a 19 years old great grandson of king of jaipur as "his highness") was that the story of queen Padmavaati must not be shown as a movie as the movie will not show how great she was.

Now curiosity has been asrised.
What is the real story? Why are these people so sentimental about this queen?

The research started.

Now i assume you all might know the story.
Now time for reality check!

A queen named padmaavati or padmini never existed. There is no written evidence or for that matter any solid record of the rajputi queen.

Shocked?
Its has just started.

"Maharana" Ratan singh was potryed as great king of mewad province but in realty has a different face.
Historians have stated that "maharana" Ratan Singh was not even close to a good king, hiding behind the high walls of Mewad , Ratan singh had not participated in any kind of warfare. He was also described as a womanizer too.

So how did padmaavati came into picture?

1st written document of queen padmini or padmaavati was in Malik muhammud jayasi's Padmaavat which was written 300 years after Alauddin khiljis death.

Now theres one loophole!

Padmaavati was Ratan singhs favorite wife. Apart fron that he was a married man!

Favorite wife is title that looks good only in star and zee tv awards but in reality this doent make sense.

So now we know Padmaavati is work of fiction.
Now you sensible people tell me will you burn 100cr worth of property if someone wanted to make a movie on harry potter( apart from one made)?

Doordarshan had a show called "Bharat ki khoj" in which they potreyed various stories from different parts of india and padmaavat was one of them. Alauddins character was done by legendary actor Late Amrish Puri, there is scene in which Alauddin looks at Padmaavati which is actually offensive but none were offended then because today they would get the limelight and they suceeded.

A/N

Do you belive the suicide theory?
