"Well what sort of dignity will you have left if you give up this early?! You're walking right into it! And how selfish do you have to be to even do this to me?! Your family never get a real goodbye, the girls don't get a goodbye and i didn't even get one. You was gonna slip away, happy with the fact that you'll never see me again, never get to tell me how much you love me, how much you'll miss me?!" I'm angry now, how could she do this to me?! I hear the doctors walk into her room so i shake my head, pull my hand from hers and make a swift exit.

I've been sat outside the room near Kimberley's just thinking but my train of thought is soon interrupted when i hear a little girl whisper.

"Mummy! Look it's Cheryl from Girls Aloud! Mommy, look!" I see a small little girl, obviously suffering from cancer herself walking with her mother who's carrying a small machine with several wires attached from it to the little girl.

"Hi cutie, what's your name?" I ask as her face lights up.

"Millie." She whispers, clutching her mothers leg who's smiling at me.

"And how are you doing today sweetie?"

"I've been on a walk outside because i have to stay here because i'm a little bit poorly but the doctor gave me a sticker, look it has a dog on it. I have a dog but i don't get to see it much because he's at home and i aren't allowed to go home just yet, not until i'm better anyway which mummy said will be soon because i'm a fighter." She rambles on as her mother chuckles at her sudden change in confidence.

"Wow. You certainly are! I have two doggies too but they have to live with my mummy while i'm here. I love your sticker!"

"Why are you here Miss Cheryl? Are you poorly too?"

"Um... Millie we don't ask those sorts of questions." Her mum tells her but i brush it off and smile.

"It's fine and my friend is like you, she's poorly and i look after her a lot. She's got to stay here, she's brave like you." A doctor approaches us and smiles down at the little girl.

"Millie it's time to come back now."

"But i want to talk to Miss Cheryl!" She moans but the doctor shakes his head.

"Hey, how about in a few hours, if it's ok with your mummy and doctor that i'll come by and we can have a little chat? Yeah?"

"Oh you don't have to Cheryl, i know if you're-" Her mother interrupts but i immediately shake my head and stop her from talking.

"No, it's ok. I'll come find you, ok?"

"Thanks Miss Cheryl." She whispers as she holds her mothers hand and waves as she walks slowly down the corridor.

"She was cute." I hear Kimberley comment from the door with the girls.

"Yeah, very brave."

"Kimberley, you need to be back in bed!" I hear the doctor shout from the room as she rolls her eyes and holds her hand out.

"Go on Kimberley." I sigh but she shakes her head and holds her hand out further which i take and she soon starts moving back to her bed.

"Right Ms Walsh, i think we need to go over a few things." The doctor says as she joins us, sitting on a chair beside her bed.

"I know, it was stupid. I won't do it again."

"The thing is Miss Walsh, you got given that prediction of passing next month, months ago. Things could have changed but you haven't called in for a while so we can't give you any news whether it's good or bad. What we're gonna do is, we're gonna let you home but we'd like you to come in tomorrow where we can run a few tests-"
