Ch 20: Saving Eri - Part 7

About twenty minutes passed, and Ryukyu was in her dragon form, shielding everyone as Nejire fought Rikiya. Nejire launched a spinning shockwave at him, which only affected him a little.

Uraraka's name was called, and she turned to see...

"Deku?!"

"I came to call reinforcements! Our objective is directly underneath that crossroads! The pros are fighting as we speak, keeping them in check! We need assistance!"

Ryukyu flew up and rammed Rikya in the stomach. "Uravity! Make him float!"

Ochako touched him, and he rose into the air with Ryukyu. She ordered Tsuyu to help her move Rikiya over the crossroads and commanded Nejire to blast them into the ground with everything she's got.

Which brings us to when they burst through the ceiling. Above them were Twice, Toga, and Mr. Compress. They talked about how Eri, who was just a child, was the 'core' of the whole operation, and Compress just jumped down to get Eri, surprising the agents.

"Uravity!"

Ochako turned to Izuku, who called, "I'm leaving Nighteye to you!", as he and (Y/N) ran toward Eri, but were cut off by a concrete pillar shooting up and propelling Eri into the air.

"CHISAKI!!"

Said man caught Eri as she flew up, as he stood on a pillar trying to reach a hole to escape. Izuku, determined to save the girl he failed to save before, and (Y/N), adamant on taking that girl into her arms and telling her everything will be okay, screamed at the top of their lungs,

"I WON'T LET YOU!!"

Both of them had their hands outstretched, reaching for their goal.

On one of the rocks, a tattered cloth, Mirio's cape, was pinned under. "So it got blown up here...How sickening," Chisaki commented.

But Eri looked at the cape, and reached for it without thinking. She wasn't even conscious of the fact that she grabbed it. And yet...

As she held it in her hands, she unconsciously activated her Quirk. Chisaki and Nemoto's bodies were ripped from one another. Her Quirk, had the ability to rewind an individual's body to a previous state.

That day, was the first time she had tried to escape. But in the end, she had given up, thinking that there was no way she could ever escape from that man. Robbed of her freedom, she suffered as incisions were made on her body day in and day out. This fearsome power which she did not even know how to use...Ultimately, she resigned herself to the fact that it was her own fault for being born with that power. 'I'm cursed'...She had no choice but to accept that as her fate. 

But Lemillion's actions shook her heart to the core. She couldn't bear to see people getting hurt, all to save her. But they wouldn't give up, even if it killed them...New feelings began to bud within her...and they screamed 'I have to save them!', triggering her awakening.

Izuku reached for Eri, who flew straight into his arms. The seed sown by Mirio Togata had finally sprouted, granting Eri 'the determination to be saved'.

Izuku cradled her in his arms, Mirio's cape in her hand. Izuku could feel something as he held her.

Chisaki, desperate to see his plan through, screeched, "GIVE HER BACK!!!"

The tower beneath him crumbled, and he fell towards Izuku with his hand splayed out. Thinking fast, (Y/N) moved her body in front of Eri and Izuku, shielding them. "Do not let go! No matter what, Izuku!!"

'I'm not gonna let anything like that happen again!' Izuku thought, thinking to when he first met Eri. He remembered Mirio's words to him, about the kind of agent he wanted to be. He wanted to be the kind of agent who wiped away everyone's worries, always wins, and saves everyone.

"Izuku!! Go all out! I can't keep up this form!" (Y/N) yelled, disabling her Quirk. She needed time to recharge her powers, but that doesn't mean that she wouldn't fight.

"AAAAAAAAHHH!!"

Izuku reeled back his leg for a kick, while Chisaki turned the disassembled concrete into five tendrils. They almost hit each other. But then Izuku, Eri, and (Y/N) disappeared, and a powerful blast of force shot through the roof, the wind pressure reaching the outside. Izuku was up in the air, looking down at the hole in the ground he made.

"Wha-"

"How in the hell?!!! What was that Izuku?"

Izuku was lost in his thoughts, one filling his mind. 'How did I do that?'

The people were in disarray and Chisaki stood, ranting about how Eri belonged to him. Nighteye spoke, saying how Chisaki would pursue Eri, Izuku, and (Y/N), and end up killing Izuku and (Y/N). 

"NO...!" Ochako ran towards her friend, but fell onto her face. 'My body won't...! I want to run...But I can't...!'

"In your current condition...even if you three were to go after him...you cannot win..." Nighteye croaked. 

"So we're supposed to it around and do nothing?!! That ain't right! Nobody knows what the future holds till it happens!!" Ochako yelled out. 

Nighteye thought back to Izuku's words, and said, "Through that hole in the wall, and down the path...Mirio should be there...please, Froppy. Uravity. Ryukyu...Please...help me to the surface..."

Izuku landed on the ground, his body completely fine. 'My body...feels hot...No, it's cold. Even though I used 100% just now!'

"Izuku! What happened?!" (Y/N) asked.

"Just now...I used 100% of One for All." Izuku replied. "But when I do that, my bones usually break. But they're all healed!"

Izuku looked at Eri. "Is that your power?"

"Hey, now that you mention it, all my powers have been recharged...I can use my 4 Element form again! We could--"

A crippling pain consumed both their bodies, and they fell to the ground. 

"What the-?! Now it feels like my body...is being pulled apart from the inside!!"

"My body, it's on fire!!"

"She's unable to control her power. By some chance, she was able to activate it, but...YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO STOP IT, DO YOU, ERI?!!!" Chisaki called out as he emerged from the rubble, as he was fused together with Rikiya. A gargantuan stone body, with long appendages with claws at the ends, and the upper body of Chisaki in the structure of the mouth, marched its way towards the three people up on the surface.

"With Eri's Quirk, she can rewind humans. Depending on how she uses it, she could probably revert a person to a monkey, if she tried. If you continue to hold her like that, you'll disappear. She can rewind anything she touches to nothingness. That Quirk of hers is cursed. Return her to me. There's no way to stop her other than my disassembly!" 

Izuku hoisted Eri on his back and tied her to him with Mirio's torn cape. "We won't. No matter what."

"I see...the instant Izuku's leg broke...before he could feel pain, and for me, before succumbing to the overuse of my Quirk...she 'reverted' it for us..."

"It's such a kind and gentle Quirk."

"I met a kid who thought his Quirk was evil and bad, but I could easily find all the good things about it. You are no different, Eri. It's truly a caring Quirk."

Tears began to pour out of Eri's eyes, never hearing such touching words before.

"Now that we've experienced how it feels...I understand...! She continues to revert our bodies...with blinding speed...! In that case...If I'm constantly accumulating grave injuries at an even greater speed...!"

"Andi if I go all out with my Quirk..."

Izuku fired up One for All at full throttle. Fire-like trails emitted from his eyes, and his hair became lighter. The tattoos on (Y/N)'s arms disintegrated, the remains being blown away. Her (H/L), (H/C) hair flowed through the winds she was producing, streaks of lighting around her body. The concrete cracked beneath her feet, and water droplets slowly began to form in the air around her.

"Eri...Will you lend us your Quirk?"
