A Trip Down Memory Lane

    A warm summer breeze and the sun is beating down on my skin. It was unbelievably wonderful. I couldn't help but close my eyes and look up, as I took a deep breath. The scent was like no other. The fresh air and something else, a hint of cologne? I quickly open my eyes because the cologne smelled so familiar, but when I looked back down to where it was coming from, I couldn't truly see the person sitting next to me, but they were looking at me. Everything was blurry except for that welcoming smile. That smile made me melt somehow. My eyes couldn't look away it was like the smile drew me in. Even though I couldn't see him, I followed his movement glued to that smile, and when that person laughed, I couldn't help but laugh along. I looked back to which my smile quickly faded. I could see the person's lips moving to try to communicate, saying something, but I couldn't hear it. "What?" I said as the person spoke again, but I still didn't catch what the person was telling me. The person's smile began to fade. Everything around me began to crumble away, the breeze, the warmth of the sun had disappeared. There was ringing, which was getting louder and louder, and I could hear screaming all around me. I glance up to see what was happening, and People were running in all directions, yelling in terror. I looked back to see if the person would help me and explain what was happening. When I turned to the person who was beside me to see if he knew, but he wasn't there. It was like he vanished into thin air. I began to run, hoping to find him again, but all the people panicking surrounded me. Too many people! They were everywhere, and everything was a blur. I couldn't see anything anymore, and the ringing in my ear was getting even louder. I began to scream.

That was the last memory I can remember. All I have left. From the time where things were normal. From the time where everything changed.
