I Screamed. What else could I do? I was being held tightly, but I got my arms free and clawed at the hand.

It was skeletal, meaning the beast was part skeleton, or a skeleton in general. My question was answered when the beast stepped into the light.

It was definitely a skeleton. Large bat-like wings were folded neatly on it's back, and a lion tail twitched behind it. It's eyes were shining. One was red and looked like a target, while the other was green and looked normal. Both glowed softly and seemed to see right through me. Around it's neck was a tan colored scarf with red at the end of it. The jacket the beast wore was blue and very torn, and the white shirt underneath was ragged and ripped. The last thing that stood out were it's horns. They were sharp, but one of them looked to be broken. And I knew where the other one was.

"P-Please! D-Don't kill m-me!" I begged, tears forming in my eyes. "I have to get back to my friends!"

"And why should I care?" the beast growled darkly. "You came into my cave, you climbed Mt.Ebott. This was your fault."

"I-I know... J-Just please don't eat me."

"Too late for that one, kid." The beast opened his mouth and lifted me towards it.

"N-No! Please! I-I'll do anything!"

He stopped and looked at me. "Anything?"

"Y-yes! Anything!"

"Hm.."

"I-I could gather f-food for you! I'm stronger th-then I look!" please let me go.

"Hm...." he seemed to be thinking.

I eagerly waited for an answer, my heart pounding in my chest. I didn't even realize I was crying until now, and all I could hear was the beasts stomach growling and his breathing. I tried desperately to ignore the growling and focus on his breathing, staying silent.

To my surprise, he put me down. "Fine. but you work for me now. So if you step out of line even once, you'll never find you way out of this cave again. Got it?"

I hesitated. I couldn't agree to this. I'll never be able to see the world. Why is everything so set on me staying in one place??

"O-okay..... D-deal..." I reluctantly agreed, staring at the ground. But something didn't seem right. Why would a blood thirsty beast show me mercy? Why did he seem so calm?

Without saying anything else, he got up and started walking deeper into the cave, his tail lightly brushing the floor. I had no choice but to follow him.

Neither of us spoke. All I could hear was low growling and our footsteps, especially mine.

Click. Click.

Just as loud as my heartbeat was. The beast said nothing, though he looked slightly annoyed. I tried stepping lighter to avoid making as much sound, since the last thing I needed was to annoy this guy. I had to find out how to get out of here.

I couldn't help but feel a bit guilty as I looked up at his broken horn. I knew I had it, but it felt like a large rock hanging around my neck, hidden by my cloak. God help me if he finds out I have it. I couldn't help but picture myself helplessly dangling over the beasts mouth, the growl growing louder as I was lowered.....

"Kid."

I jumped. Apparently the beast had been trying to get my attention.

"H-hm?......." I looked up to see him staring at me. His eye wasn't red or target shaped anymore. It was a soft shade of blue, and his eyes didn't seem as hostile anymore.

"You okay?..." He asked. I nodded, biting back a sharp response. Oh, just fine. Just imagining how bad your breath will be when you eat me.

"Good."

"W-why?...."

He smirked before responding.

"Because we're at your new home"
