Ch 17: Saving Eri - Part 4

"Rock Lock! Help (L/N)!" Nighteye ordered.

"Oh, don't act the leader! Cuz the cause of this whole debacle...is your mismanagement!!" He retorted. He placed his palm against one of the walls, and turned it 180 degrees, locking it in place. "Deadbolt!"

The locked-in area was small and cramped, which mean Rock Lock's range was limited. A wave of concrete came towards the group at a terrifying pace.

Izuku quickly went to work, kicking the concrete to pieces, while (Y/N) merged the pieces with the wall.

The H.O. said, "He's like some kind of moronic mole."

Izuku caught his breath while (Y/N) stood up and rubbed her arms. Looking at her tattoos, she noticed that they slowly seemed to reduce themselves. Thinking nothing of it, she stood up.

"If Fatgum's team had survived we coulda made our way more smoothly. Eraser!" Rock Lock criticized Shouta, which irked (Y/N) to a serious extent.

"Hey, you try doing the things he does!! Stop looking down on people like that!! If you're going to act like that towards him, then we might as well toss you away, frickin' dead weight!!" She scolded. 

"(Y/N), calm down. He's right." Shouta said, thinking about earlier. 'If only I could 'see' his body, I could stop him...! He aimed at us with pinpoint precision! He must be peeking in on us somewhere! Somewhere inside these walls...'

"At this rate, it'll only gradually get worse! We're gonna get cornered eventually!"

Though the villain, Irinaka, was being cornered himself. Manipulating large areas of mass like the basement with this much speed takes a lot of strain on the body. He was forced to do it due to the agents making their way through to their goal with a pace he could barely keep up with. And through the use of the Quirk-enhancing drug, through his exhaustion, he allowed them to pass.

Irinaka, always one to take caution due to the strenuous limits of his Quirk, realized that the effects of the drug were thinning and that the agents were closing in on them. 

'I won't let them pass...!! We're already steeped in sin! He won't forgive it if I stop!!' The division leader thought.

Izuku panted, thinking, 'The most important thing is the simple fact there's a child out there who needs Ryukyu and her group, the agents and police officers! Kirishima and Fatgum! There are these people who got us this far...!!'

"Like we'd let you stop us here!!" Izuku and (Y/N) yelled in unison, as the wavering concrete pushed itself to the side like waves.

"It opened up?! What are they playing at now?!"

Some of the concrete closed in on Rock Lock, Izuku, and (Y/N). Shouta pulled Izuku out of the way before looking for (Y/N).

The woman had her hand stretched out, reaching for Shouta. "Shouta!!"

Without hesitation, he grabbed her hand and pulled her close to him, hugging her close to her chest as the concrete closed the three of them off from the others.

After the dust settled, (Y/N) looked up at Shouta's face, a shocked look on hers mixed in with a blush on her cheeks. 

"Ehhh...thanks, Shouta," She mumbled, looking to the side with a smile on her face.

He set her down. "No problem."

They almost seemed to forget about Izuku, who was right next to them, viewing the whole spectacle and storing the scene in his mind to tell his friends when the mission was done. He also took notice of the fact that they were now separated from the rest of the group. "They split us up?! Why now...?"

"Hang on, maybe I can bend the walls apart..." (Y/N) mentioned, unconsciously rubbing her decreasing forearm tattoos, as she walked to one of the walls. "It's gonna take a bit to ease the pain in my arms."

Rock Lock, on his own, called out for the others. Nighteye and the policemen could still hear him, Nighteye noting that the walls weren't very thick.

"Guess he changed strategies 'cause he couldn't crush us after all...I mean, there's more space to move now, but..." One officer pointed out.

"...He must be thinking that what comes next will make up for that." Nighteye predicted.

On the other side of the wall, Rock Lock complained about how it was all Nighteye's fault, when a figure crept up behind him. The blonde schoolgirl held a knife in her hands and tried to stab the man, but Rock Lock noticed and turned around just in time to get his hand stabbed. 

"Lockdown!" 

The girl stopped moving, and Rock Lock took the opportunity to go in for a punch. "You're a member of the Lea-"

The real girl's hand covered his mouth, silencing his words. "Shhh. No no no, right now, I'm playing an old artifact from olden times! I'm Toga the gangster! I'm a good-for-nothing."

On the other side of the wall, Shouta called out, "Lock!! What happened?!"

"I got this!" (Y/N) put her hands against the wall, and felt the familiar sensation of using her powers flow through her veins. She tore out a chunk of the wall, creating a hole that led to the other side.

"Rock Lock!" Izuku called out. 

They looked at the scene before them. There were two people who looked just like Rock Lock, One on the ground with a knife wound, the other perfectly fine; except, who is who?

"An impostor appeared outta nowhere and attacked me! Keep your eyes peeled! There are new enemies1 They're here somewhere!!" The conscious Rock Lock exclaimed.

Shouta went to examine the Rock Lock on the ground, while the conscious Rock Lock walked up to Izuku. "Midoriya, you okay over there?"

Immediately sensing something off, (Y/N) put herself in front of Midoriya. "You stay away from him."

The Rock Lock had a knife in his hands, pushing towards the woman, who was caught off guard.

'Impostor, knife wound. It was anything but!!' Shouta whipped his head around and used his Quirk on the actual impostor.

The fake morphed back into Toga, who had a deranged smile on her face. Izuku called out her name. "Toga Himiko?!!"

"That's me!! Toga!! You remembered!! I'm, like, so happy we could meet again!! I'm so happy, Deku, baby!!" She declared as she was pulled back by Shouta's capturing weapon. "Like, SO happy!!"

'This is incredibly bad!! But wait, no, if we can stop her here, then on the contrary...' Shouta thought.

"This is the end for you, Toga Himiko!" Shouta yelled.

All she did was look at him, slamming her palm down on his capturing weapon, flipping herself over him, and stabbing him in the back. Shouta pulled out a knife of his own from his belt and swung at her, missing.

Toga was released from the capturing weapon, dropping her knife and backing up near a wall. 

"Sensei!" Shouta!!"

The two rushed to Shouta, who told them to stay back, but (Y/N) pushed forwards, pulling out a small bottle of water and opening it up. She activated her Quirk, pulling out the water and manipulating it. It moved gracefully towards Shouta's wounds, covering it and mixing with some of the blood, dying it red. 

(Y/N) sent a healing pulse through the water, slowly mending the skin together and stopping the bleeding. 

A concrete wall slammed down, cutting them off from Toga. '...They're working together...! So the reason he altered his strategy and opened up a hole must have been to let in the League.' Shouta contemplated.

By herself, cuddling her clothes, she sighed happily. "I'm so glad to be working temp here..."

With Nighteye, their group was suddenly disturbed by Twice (I assume you all know), who struck a fancy pose, while a copy of Rappa threw a punch.

"It's so disheartening, Shigaraki...I'm gettin' super hyped here!"
