The Difference Between Life and Death : Meeting The Team [Book One]

Just an Average Morning

I was woken up by a blaring alarm, and as I slowly opened up my eyes I looked at the clock to my right. When I could see clearly I noticed that that clock read 7:30, and I started to close my eyes again. Then I got panicked, Ivory and Arix had to go to school, I had a meeting, and something smells like it's burning.

Jumping out of my bed, I didn't care to remove the blankets from the floor. I ran down the hall, and saw the girls standing by my now on fire toaster. I took the toaster quickly outside, and sprayed it with the water hose. I looked up and sighed, and then Spirit came up beside me, while laughing that creepy laugh of her's. I frowned and tapped my necklace, making the cat almost instantly disappear.

"Listen, you're already dressed for school, so just eat some cereal and go," I said still tired.

"What are you going to do today, Evelyn," Arix said curiously.

"I have a meeting about some people who were found dead, and drained."

"Can't we skip school and come help fight the possible vamp," Ivory complained.

"Wish the whole team could come, but I had to deal with school the whole time, and so do you."

After they left, I got dressed and switched the teleporter in my room on. I hopped on and was teleported to outside of the meeting room. I entered the room and took my place. "Ok, we have a huge problem, so far there has been four deaths this past week, in which all of the victims have been drained of their blood," said Sir Nellston.
