I'm sorry (a poem about dread)

I'm sorry for being so sorry
I now worry if I do not hurry
That it'll be over
If you can forgive me
I shall no longer carry it with me
The fear and dread of it all
I want to say sorry
But it may be beyond me
But if I go longer
I will not be much stronger
Than what is within
Which is my sin
Your wrong they'll say
Your not strong they say
But I know better than this
So I shall not give in
To my darkness
You've made a mistake
And you cannot retake what you've lost
You have lost what you had finally gained
And it will not be named
Because it will bring shame
To thy name
