Chapter 7. The Tape

We sneak her back into camp successfully. Hurley and I are looking inside the tent when Sawyer from behind us says "What are y'all doing?" 

"What are you doing?" I say back trying to stop him from asking more questions

"Going to take a leak"

"Yeah, well we were just looking at the stars" Hurley says

Sawyer looks at me and I immediately look away. He knows I'm hiding something, he walks away to go do his business.

Its moring and Chalire brings some food for who we now know as Naomi and Jin goes into the tent to give it to her.

"We have to tell Jack" I say

"Yeah shouldn't he look at the wound or something" Hurley says 

"Can you give me your word the Jack can be trusted, he spent ten days with those people and nothing happened to him, and the woman he's spending all his time with" Desmond says

"Juliet?" I say

"Aye, Juliet. Two weeks ago she had your friends in cages. Naomi, you heard everything she said If we keep her safe, shes our way off the island"

I decided that I was going to tell Sawyer about Naomi.

I walk over to the tent 

"Hey Sawyer"

No answer.

I move the tarp.

He's not there.

I walk around and no sign of him.

"Hey Kate, have you seen Sawyer today?"

"No, why?"

"I can't find him" 

"You worried about him?"

"Of course"

"You know the entire time in the cages he was worried about you, he would never shut up about how Hurley and Charlie were too stupid to protect you"

I can't help but smile.

We all decided that we trust Sayid so we tell him about Naomi.

"You've already spoken to her?" He asks

"Yeah, but your gonna want to hear it for yourself" I say

"And you haven't told Jack?"

"No" Charlie says

"Good" Sayid says

He goes into the tent.

I see Sawyer come out of the jungle. 

I walk over there and hit his arm. "Where the hell have you been? I was worried about you"

"Well sorry, I had something to take care of"

"Which was?"

"Why should I tell you, you didn't tell me what you are up too" He says to tease me

"Well for your information I  was going to tell you when you disappeared"

I tell him about the finding Naomi.

He tells me everything, how he killed the real Sawyer who happened to be Locke's father, about the tape Locke gave him, everything.

"Sounds like we had an eventful day huh Shorty"

"So the nicknames are back"

It nightfall and we decided to tell everyone but Jack about Naomi and everything she told us.

I'm standing next to Sawyer and everyone is gathered together 

"So what the whole world think we're dead?" Claire says

"That's not important right now" Sayid says

"Not important?" Sun says

"What do you mean it's not important" Claire says

"Excuse me, I'm sorry, don't you people want to be rescued?" Naomi says 

"We kept her a secret to keep her safe" Sayid says

"Safe from what, Sayid" Kate says

"Safe from Jack. He spent a week with the other and brought one back with him. Here, among us and every time we try to get answers from this woman, he prevents her from giving them " He says 

"But its Jack, he would never do anything to hurt us and Juliet I believe she's a good person" Sun says

"I agree with Sun" I say

"Good person huh? And you're basing that on what? It wouldn't involve her taking Sun to one of their medical stations, would it?" Sawyer  says 

"How..."

He starts to play the tape "Kwon is pregnant, the fetus is healthy and was conceived on the island with her husband, he was sterile before they got here, I'm working on getting samples from the other woman I should have Austen's soon. I'll report when I know more"

Then Jack and Juliet show up.

"Where did you get that?" Jack asks Sawyer

"Where have you been Jack?" Sayid asks

"I asked you where you got it"

"You really think you're in a position to question us" Sawyer says 

"Turn the tape over" Juliet says

"Stay out of it!" 

"You want to burn me at the stake here I am but first turn the tape over"

"Oh for god's sake just turn the tape over Sawyer" I say

This time its a different voice "Juliet its Ben, I'm sending three teams to extract  Kwon the night after tomorrow. We won't have time to runs Austen's sample, so if you determine that she or anyone else is pregnant, mark their tents and we'll take them too. Good Luck.

"The night I saw your baby on the ultrasound, I told Jack what they were making me do" Juliet says

"Why didn't you tell us?"  Sayid asks

"Because I hadn't decided what to do about to yet" Jacks says

"Yet?" I say
