Is This My Destiny?

CHAPTER 1 - The Beginning

I am Elizabeth, A girl who has a skill to see the future of the people. It may sound weird but it is true believe me or not. It all started when I was 5 years old and until now that I am 23 years old I still have that skill, maybe for others it is fun, yes it is but not all the time it's fun. Every time that I will look on people's eyes I can see their future clearly, even if it is about happiness or sadness I can see it clearly.

My family doesn't know anything about my special skill because I don't want them to worry about me. My mom is a housewife and my dad is already dead since I was five years old, I also have a brother and his name is Jacob. When my dad died everyone is so sad, especially me who is a certified daddy's girl. When my dad died, I was with him in the park and I was the one who saw everything, seeing him cover with blood, and hearing him calling my name for the last time and saying "I Love You" just break my heart into pieces at a very young age I already experience a lot of things. Every time I remember it I just always remember all the good and fun memories that we shared with each other and always remember that he will always guide us.

Another day has come; I woke-up because of my mom who is calling me and my brother for breakfast. Mom's shouting "Elizabeth, Jacob breakfast is ready!"As I heard my mom's voice, I rushed to the kitchen to check what food did my mom prepare for breakfast. As I expected, hotdogs and eggs, Again! Every breakfast my mom always prepares hotdogs and eggs for us. So, I don't have any choice but to eat it, I need to eat it and be thankful for all the blessings we are receiving. We started to eat my breakfast, while I was eating Jacob has not started eating then he asks, "Mom, hotdogs and eggs again?" Then I say, "Jacob, just eat and be thankful for everything you have".Then, mom said "Jacob, we need to budget our money, remember dad is gone and your sister is the one working to support and to provide for our family". Jacob just eat his breakfast. After, having my breakfast I started to prepare to go to work. After preparing I said goodbye to mom and Jacob, then I headed to the terminal to ride the bus going to my work.

Inside the bus, I am just listening to the music from my phone, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the nature and everything around me that seems so perfect.

And suddenly, there was an accident that causes all of the cars to crash with each other. Then, the bus I was riding stop, thankfully it didn't crash to other cars. I was shocked with what happen, so what I did is I get off the bus and I see a lot of people who are injured and ambulances that are attending to the victims of the accident. I took of my shades and started to walk as I was walking I see a lot of people, no doubt, I see their future that some of them will die in less than five minutes and some of them will survive. I walk and see a couple fighting because of the accident, the wife who is very worried that they may die and will left their children behind, then I heard the husband say "don't worry we're alright, we're safe".Then the husband was calling an ambulance to check her wife because her wife suddenly say that his neck is painful, but no one come because they are very busy to help those whom mostly needed to be bring to the hospital and be checked. So what I do is I come to the couple and ask them if they are alright. I gave the wife a band aid and put it in her hand that has a wound. Then, while his husband is telling something to her, I look to his eyes and see that he is going to have a heart attack and will die, so what I did is I tell her wife to take care of his husband, and then the wife just smile and say thank you. And yes, what I see is true after I talked to his wife he started to feel not good and put his right hand on his chest and started to have difficulty in breathing. Then his wife started to shout for help, so what I did is grab her hand and say that "stay with your husband, he needs you more than anyone". After I say it, his husband lost his breath. After that incident, it feels normal for me, it is normal to see how people lost their lives, how people will live; because I just accept that it is part of my life, to see what future people have on their lives, to see what will happen to them without them knowing what is going to happen.

While I was walking, a car suddenly hits me. I think that man doesn't know how to drive because his car moves backward instead of moving forward. He comes out from his car and asks me "What are you doing? And say that it is obvious that I need to get out to the way of the car." Then, I say "I didn't do anything, you were the one who drove backward" I was expecting that he will apologize to me, but instead he just say that it is not his fault, and I need to be careful next time." So what he just did was grab my hand and said he was going to bring me into the emergency room to be checked if I am alright. After the doctor checked me, the doctor said that I'm okay and I just have a sprain on my left foot, then I say to that man that "Just be thankful that nothing bad happens to me, and he has to be careful next time. As I reached our house walking with my left foot that has sprain, my mom and my brother Jacob are preparing for dinner. Then, my mom says "Elizabeth, you are just in time, we are about to eat five minutes later." And then I replied "okay mom, I am just going to change and fix my things so we can eat."

While I was inside my room I am thankful that nothing bad happens to me. I change my clothes and open my drawer and see my vacation ticket for tomorrow morning. I was having a moment and then my mom suddenly shouted that "dinner is ready!" so I come out from my room and go straight to the dining room. Jacob started the conversation and say "yes, the dinner is not hotdogs and eggs" teasing my mom. And my mom says "yes, the dinner is special but don't forget our breakfast tomorrow" then I say loudly "hotdogs and eggs!" then the three of us laugh so hard. Mom asks me "how's my work" then I say "I didn't go to work mom, there was just an emergency" mom asks "what emergency?" I replied "there was just a car who hit me but it is nothing serious. Then I change the topic because I don't want my mom to worry about me and just remind her that my flight will be the following day. She just says "take care of yourself, just relax and be stress free".

After dinner I helped mom to wash the dishes and then she hugs me and says "Thank you for everything darling" then I replied "Welcome mom I will do everything for our family." After our conversation and after helping her, I go to my room and started to pack the things I will need for my vacation. Then I pray that everything will be alright and talk to my dad that everything was alright, that he doesn't need to worry about our family, and then after I pray, I go to sleep because of my flight the following day.

It was indeed a good morning, the sun shines so bright and the breakfast smells so good. I come out from my room and greet mom and Jacob "good morning!" Then I smell the hotdogs and eggs that my mom cooked, she cooks it every breakfast because it is my dad's favourite so I helped her and Jacob to set up the table. While having our breakfast Jacob teases me and mom he says "Ate, it will be your last breakfast having hotdogs and eggs, because later you're going to have different kind of food during your vacation" then I laugh and say "No, I am going to miss this breakfast, but most especially I am going to miss the both of you". After breakfast, I prepare all the things that I will bring for my vacation and after I finished preparing I headed to the airport and wait for my flight. When I arrived at Florida, I was amazed on its beauty and nature. Everything is quiet and everything seems so peaceful, then that man who hit me yesterday that didn't apologize is also here? At first I don't believe it but I guess it's true. He is really here on the same place. But, what I did is that I don't bother myself and just remind myself that I am here to enjoy. The next morning the plan that is part of my vacation package is island hopping, I was too excited so.I prepare and eat breakfast so I can enjoy the rest of the day. I was expecting that maybe that man will not be in the same boat as I was in, I was too surprise that he is on the same boat, then I asked myself "is this a coincidence?" but, why him, there are many people in this world that I will meet, but why it is him?" So what I did is to just sit down pretending that I don't know him. As we reach the first island, the captain of the boat shouted and say "You can now enjoy the beauty of this island, you can snorkel and swim" I was too excited that I jumped to the water and I am going to say "it was refreshing," after I jumped, that man also jumped so what I did is swim far away from him and enjoy the ocean by snorkelling, a lot of different fishes and others are to be seen in the blue clear water, after ten minutes, that captain shouted again that "it's time to come back, we are going to the second island, I climbed back to the boat then everyone is looking for that man, I finally know his name he is Matthew. Everyone is looking for Matthew, so I jumped again to the water to find him and thank goodness I found him, he is unconscious. I swim so fast that I reach his hand, as I reach him I saw it, I really saw his future but it is not clear as other people's future that I can easily tell what's going to happen. I swim while holding his hand so we can go up to the boat then the oxygen tank suddenly explodes.
