Death rains from above

Chapter one: I'm not a normal idiot... I'm an idiot that jumps out of a plane

"... Their is only one thing I fear... not heights... not the ocean... I don't even fear death... the one thing I fear is-"

Opening my eyes I look around seeing the area around me shaking, explosions can be heard outside of the plane walls with AA-Guns shooting in the distance with soldiers shooting and yelling, Some soldiers around me scared and are holding their helmets or gear. We must be close to out drop point if we are getting shot at already, our mission is to destroy four AA-Gun placements and to take the town . . . Oh yeah I should tell you who I'm Private Boyd Travers, of the 82nd division of the Airborne. the weapons I have on me is the Colt 1911, M1 Grand, and the Thompson.

Anyways I should continue telling the story or I should say let you continue reading the story. As the plane started shaking more and the sound of exploding planes were becoming common with some soldiers freaking out or Panic more. continuing to sit still I hear a soldier yell "We haven't made it over the ocean yet!" another soldier yells responding to the last comment "It's not the enemy it's our own God damn Navy!" I continued taking deep breaths as this is what we were trained for. We were trained to jump feet first into hell. A red light appeared next to the door making us shut up and stand up in a Straight line, some soldier are still shaking and looking around scared, though their are a few soldiers that are calm like me.

After waiting for a minute the light turns green signalling us to get to the door and jump out of the plane, the first soldier in line jumps out of the plane through the door as we get hit from AA-Gun fire. Killing the soldiers in front of me leaving me next in line to jump out of the plane, I step over two corpses and past another injured soldier who seems to have gotten hit in the neck before finally getting to the door. The cold wind hits my face as the plane flies through the night sky that is lit up by spot lights, burning planes, explosions in the air and AA-Gun rounds that are flying into the air. looking forward I see another transport plane slowly descending as it's wing has caught fire, Taking a deep breath I jumped out of the plane and start falling to the ground. I wait a few seconds before pulling the chute causing me to slowly descend to the ground. while slowly going down I get a good view of the mayor's house or what ever it's called. We weren't debriefed on the names of the buildings and if we were I most likely fell asleep, their is a balcony with a machine gun on it, the Nazi manning the gun is shooting down below at shooting some other Airborne soldiers who landed before me and are trying to get into the mayor's house.

I land on the ground safely and take off my parachute as I wont need it anymore. Quickly I take out my Thompson and run to the right side of the mayors house and behind some sand bags, in front of the sand bags are some steps leading to a elevated floor, a statute sits in the middle with a tall tower with boarded up windows on it's right meaning my left. Behind the statute on the far left and far right have stairs leading up to another elevated platform with two open doors that lead into the mayors house.

Crouch down behind the sand bags Looking around as a sniper round hits the ground near me, Looking in the direction of the shoot I notice it came from the tower that has a sniper aiming in my direction until a gun shot goes off on my right resulting in The sniper falling backwards out of view. Looking to my right I see an Airborne soldier holding a M1 Grand while crouching down next to me. Travers, " Nice shot"
I say continuing to look at him, watching him as he reloads his M1 Grand

????, " Thanks"
He replies dully

He finishes reloading the M1 Grand. ????, " H-"
He tries saying something as bullets start pounding into the ground behind us and into the sand bags, The machine gunner has focused its fire at us for a minute before aiming in another direction stopping and any advances on its position. Their is no way in hell we can make a forward assault on this building and win. witch means we have to find another way around into the building. I think as I look around, if their is another path way I'm going to need help discovering it not to mention attacking any enemies on the way... Travers, " Hey what's your name?"
