Third Person POV.
Summer break. The time every kid just absolutely loves. Freedom. Time to yourself. Time to just be a kid. It's great and the same goes for Caroline and Aerin. They have been best friends sense they were born and have always been there for each other. They are the same and the exact opposite all in one.
Caroline: Straight golden blonde hair with natural red highlights and dark brown eyes. Loves the outdoors and enjoys going hiking and climbing over everything. Is an extreme extrovert and gets along with almost anyone of any kind. Pretty tall for her age and isn't exactly fat or skinny.
Aerin: Slightly wavy chocolate brown hair with darker brown roots and blue eyes with a green ring around her pupils. Is a naturally born swimmer and enjoys surfing and swimming. She is an introvert and just avoids people in general. Same height as Caroline and isnt fat or skinny either.
These two girls love to go on adventures together and often imagine their own worlds to discover in. They believe that there is always something new to discovery and believe. Join them on their journey.

It's around the middle of summer break and Caroline is hanging out with Aerin. They are in Caroline's room while Caroline is sitting at her desk on her computer while Aerin is on Caroline's bed reading a book.
"Hey, Aerin, are you bored?" Caroline asks her best friend.
"Yeah, I've already read this book about 4 times so it's getting a bit old."
"Wanna go on a drive? Get out of the house?" Caroline questions.
"Yeah, you're driving." Aerin tells her friend.
"Fine, let's go."
Caroline and Aerin head to the garage and buckle up in Caroline's orange truck to start their journey.
"Which direction should we go today Rin?" Caroline asks excitedly.
"Doesn't matter Carol, go to a doughnut shop that is an hour away. I want to be out of the house for a while." Aerin replies jokingly.
"Doughnuts it is." Caroline decides.
They drive for a while in a random direction. They laugh, talk, and play various of different road games. Soon Caroline notices a forest out her window for a split second. The girls have never seen it before.
"Hey did you see that forest back there, Aerin?" Caroline asked her best friend.
"Yeah, I did. Do you want to go check it out?" Aerin responded.
"Heck yeah! You know it. " Caroline replied
"What about the doughnuts? Also do you have our adventure bags in here?" Aerin asked her friend while they turn into an old parking lot near a gate that leads into the forest.
"We can get doughnuts later and yeah, our adventure bags are in the trunk. I restocked them after our trip to the Great Smokey Mountains." Caroline replied as she parked her truck.
Caroline and Aerin jumped out of the vehicle, got their bags, and headed to the rusty gate that lead to the forest. There was a sign next to the gate that said "Brandywine Park". The sign was just as rusty and cracked as the gate so it was a little hard to read.
There wasn't a 'NO TRESPASSING' sign anywhere so the girls decided to climb over the gate sense it was locked with a bunch of chains wrapped around it.
The two adventurers continued on their path through the think forest, making sure they remember which way they came and went to get back later.
After a while of walking the two girls found a clearing where there was a tall, mountain like rock surrounded by a bunch of stones in a circle around it.
The monument was specifically in the middle of the clearing and there were no other rocks around the area. The girls walked up to the rock monument and inspected it. It was so strange that there was a perfect circle of smaller stones around it. Did someone come here and make this? Why would they do that?
Caroline inspected the tall rock further while Aerin walked a little bit around, making sure to keep her friend in her line of sight so they wouldn't get separated.
"Hey Aerin? Can you come here for a second?" Caroline questioned.
Aerin walks over to her friend to see her trying to wipe off the dust and dirt from the rock. There seems to be some writing in the rock.
Aerin helped her friend and a minute later the words were clear.
The writing stated 'Acepto el reto del circulo de piedras.' It was writing in Spanish. Caroline knew Spanish so she read it out loud for her friend to understand.
"I accept the challenge of the circle of stones." Caroline read out loud.
After Caroline read that sentence the tall stone started to glow orange and the smaller stones in the circle started to glow blue.
The pair immediately stepped back and what the saw next was something that changed their lives forever.
(Hey reader, it's the author here and I'm sorry about the cliffhanger but wanted to do this. Dont hate me and thank you for reading this chapter.)
