A/N: I understand this will not be a good book nor a good horror story but this was a legit dream I had, (no, I don't need mental help, I think...) and my friends wanted me to turn it into a book soo... I would like constructive feedback but no hate! Thanks. Also, my dream wasn't as detailed as this obviously. Btw these chapters will not be edited till the end of the book unless I have seen suggestions in comments.
"How long again Tamara?"
"15 days Mum," I say.
"And how many people?"
"12 of us Mum."
"Oh, alright, be safe!"
"Don't worry, we'll be back before you know it," I reassured my mother, giving her a final hug, my brother, Jake, also hugs her and follows me out the door. I drag my dark green suitcase down the driveway, it rolls along the concrete pathway. I throw it into the back of the car and turn to the door to hop into the inside and greet some of my friends.
"Hey, Jaymee, Brody, Maddi, and Bailey! What's up?" I ask as Jake climbs into the seats behind us and slams the door beside him starting to talk to his best friend Brody.
"The roof," Maddi replies rolling her eyes.
"Nice one," Jaymee laughs putting her hand in the air motioning for a high five. Maddi doesn't comply. I adjust my eyes from the awkwardness and poke Bailey, Jaymee's younger sister, on the shoulder. She turns around and I wave to her. She waves back and mouths, 'This is going to be a long ride." I nod in agreement and we both face forward. Jaymee and Bailey's Dad sits in the front seat and turns the shiny silver key, which starts to jingle. The engine of the car starts up and we begin the journey to the camp.
"How much longer? I don't know how I can stand sitting here any longer!" Maddi groans her hands covered her ears as Jaymee yapped on about YouTube.
"We're only five minutes away Maddi, you'll survive," Jaymee's Dad chuckles.
"Will I?" Maddi sighs turning her head to look out the window. Jaymee's face turns into a frown and she folds her arms turning away from Maddi in a very childish demeanour. I sit silently in the middle of it all fidgeting around with my fingers.
"We're here!" Jaymee's Dad calls out cheerfully. Maddi jumps out of the car and slams the door just before Jaymee gets out.
"She'll cool down eventually Jaymee," I say giving her a reassuring pat on the shoulder. She nods half-heartedly and opens the door dragging herself to the boot of the car, acting as if her parents had scowled at her. I followed everyone out the door and lift my dark green suitcase out the boot rolling it along the ground till I reach the cabin that I'm in. I was told beforehand it was cabin 3. It didn't look very big, it was about one story with dark brown log walls, that stretched along the cabin horizontally, the entire structure was pretty much just those dark wooden logs, from the roof to the floor, except for the tiny windows that were tinted blue. I walk inside and look around at the interior, most of it looked handcrafted and wooden, like the rest of the cabin. Standing in front of their suitcases was Abbey, Lucy and Ananya, who were "unpacking". What was really happening was Ananya was trying to get out all the juicy secrets about Abbey and a certain someone. You see Abbey has a crush on someone, (no, I'm not telling who it is!) and to be honest they are made for each other, but neither of them was doing anything! Lucy was just snorting the whole time while Abbey tried changing the subject.
"Uh, hello?" I say. "I know this is a bad time but I'm your other cabin mate."
"Tamara, hello!" Ananya excitedly shouts. Abbey breaths in relief and mouths 'thank you'.
"Is it just us?" Lucy asks.
"Think so."
"Well, let's get back to "unpacking", "Lucy smirks at Abbey. This time, we did actually unpack. Abbey got bedroom one, Ananya got bedroom two, Lucy got a very comfortable couch and I got the floor. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind sleeping on the floor, but that couch felt like I was sitting on a cloud of marshmallows.
