Chapter 1
I stare at the stone wondering what it all means. Is there someone like me out there, or was there someone like me.
My name is Zoey Parks, ever since I can remember I've always known I was different. My parents always knew that too. My mother never did treat me badly though. She never made me feel like I didn't belong. My mother was my best friend, she was always there when I needed her. My father was a kind and loving man. He spent many hours working just to get dinner on the table, but when he came home he would never pass down a chance to sit and talk with me or my mother.
I had great parents, but no friends. I had lost all of my friends when I started seeing how different I really was. I would always ask things like "did you hear that?" or "do you smell something?" I was quickly put out as an outcast, a loser, a freak, anything mean they could think of. Only being 7 at the time I didn't really understand why exactly they were being so mean. I couldn't see how I could have done anything wrong. So since then I had always been cast out. I would always sit alone at lunch. It never really bothered me though. I would just listen to everyone around me and just see drama and problems. I was never mean to anyone, never talked to anyone, I just, listened.
Life at home was great. School well it wasn't really that bad if you ask me. Something happened one day changed my life forever. It happened while I was still in school. Mom had said that dad got off early for work that day and they were going to pick me up and we would all go out for dinner. Dad had been saving for months just so this day would happen.
I was the last kid waiting in the pick up zone. Something inside of me told me something was wrong. Very wrong.
A teacher that was watching me walks away to pick up the school phone. I hear the news as she is on the phone yet I still let her tell me. My parents were in a car wreck and had to be taken to the hospital. My father had been killed instantly. He would be going to the hospital in a body bag. My mother however was in bad shape and was taken right away.
The police come and make me get in the car. I sit in the back of the car on my way to the hospital to go and see my mother. I feel tears slide down my face. I was scared. I didn't know what would happen to me.
We pull up to the hospital doors and I jump out and run through them. I wait, jumping up and down because of how worried I am. A nurse leads me down the hall, I almost run after her but I don't I stick to a fast walk instead. We get to the room and I burst through the door to see my mother on a hospital bed with a bunch of wires stuck in her. I walk to the side of the bed and take her hand. Its cold, ice cold. She opens her eyes and smiles up at me.
"I'm glad you came." she says to me weakly.
Tears come to my eyes and I smile back at her "I had to come, I couldn't stay away."
She looks at me "Listen closely" I'm pulled closer by her hand. "Your going to be just fine." She smiles her eyes stare into mine and that 's the way they stay until they made me leave.
That night was the first night I changed. I howled all night for my parents. I was all alone. An orphan. I had no where to go. The next two days were brutal. I slept next to the grave yard till I saw the funeral. I watched from a bush as I watched my family be lowered down into the ground. That night I slept in between their graves snuggling close to the stones.
My nerves had become soothed and sleep softly settled over me. The blanket of sleep soon dissapears with the moon. Leaving me alone again. I gave one last look at both of my parents stones and left to find somewhere away from the sadness and lonelyness that I was feeling inside.

My mind comes away from the memories. I still stare at the stone not knowing what to think. I touch my nose to the stone. It burns me. I jump back and yelp in pain. I look at the stone again to see the words glowing a ghostly blue.
I close my eyes and put my nose to the stone again. It burns but I keep it there.
The burning stops and I open my eyes and look around. Blood drips down the walls and pools of blood are everywhere.
I see something in the corrner behind me. A girl. She screams and holds herself tight. Her screams turn into cries and her cries to whimpers then she just simply disappers.
I hear a growl from behind me. I turn to see a black wolf running for me. It then pounces at me but then it too disappers.
Bodies then cover the floor. Bloody, bloody bodies everywhere. Red and blue lights flash the walls and the bodies.
The walls turn to mirrors that then shatter into a million little pieces. The room turns into a big tank of blood. The black wolf that tried to attack me earlier is swimming about and a girl waist down in the blood trying to get out. The room turns to bars. It was as if I was in a prison cell. I look around horror struck. The room turns to the normal room and I wait for the next thing to come.
Instead a girl dressed in a tatered black dress stands before me with blood covered hands and black hair. Her eyes bore into mine looking at me with so much hate that it hurts.
"Welcome to my nightmare" she says in a low voice.
