We finished singing Tonight, Tonight by Hot Chelle Rae and looked up to see everyone in the cafeteria had stopped eating to watch us play. There was a slight pause then everyone started clapping and cheering, I blushed and hid my face into Ross’ chest feeling his chest vibrate as he chuckled at me and smoothed my hair down “you’re so funny Matti” he said into my hair “yeah, yeah whatever” I quickly finished my lunch and ran back to the safety of the gifted department. While waiting for them I wrote a bit more of the song “na, na, na, na oh how I dream, na, na, na, na oh how I dream” I pencilled it down along with the chords being played.

All too soon though the school day had finished and me and Ross were walking home me leaning into him with my head resting in the crook of his neck, our hands linked “I enjoyed today oddly” I said “really?” he asked craning his neck to see me, I nodded “yep usually school sucks but today it was alright” we arrived back at the Lynch house and went inside dropping our bags off by the door “hey guys we’re home” I yelled out. The house was silent we looked at each other and shrugged “strange” we didn’t think much of it though. We walked into the living room and sat down talking till I was on someone’s shoulders looking at their butt “what the heck?” I craned my neck and discovered I was being carried by Ratliff “put me down” I hit his back with my fists “that’s not a nice thing to do Matti” he said in a baby like voice “picking me up’s not a nice thing to do either!” I yelled noticing that the same thing was happening to Ross expect his tormenter was Rocky. I then realised where we were going-the beach “no don’t throw us in the sea” Ross said panicked obviously realising where they were taking us too. But his plea fell upon deaf ears and we were thrown in the sea where we emerged cold and angry.
