Forbidden Love

Chapter One- An unfortunate begining

Boulder gently nuzzled his mate's warm fur. She had just given birth to a wonderful pup.

"She looks just like you" Boulder murmured to Misty. Misty smiled and licked him on the cheek. "What should we name her?" He asked.

Misty thought for a moment, then responded. "How about Winter?" 

Boulder smiled. "I love it."

"And i love you." Misty smiled and nuzzled Boulder warmly. She looked down at the tiny pup. "She will make a fine warrior one day..."

~2 MOONS LATER~

Ashfur bust into the den. "Chief! The camp is under attack!"

Boulder looked up from the rabbit he was eating. "By whom?" He demanded.

"Foxes!" came Ashfur's reply

Boulder growled. Foxes were the wolf pack's worst enemy. "Send out all our warriors, and make sure all pups are safe with their mothers."

"Yes chief" said Ashfur as he raced off to do his orders. Boulder ran off behind him.

Misty pulled Winter closer to her. "Whats going on?" asked Winter

"We're being attacked- stay close."

"But i wanna seee" wined Winter. She strangled from her mother's grip and ran out of the den

"Winter, oh my god, get back here!" Misty cried out, and raced after her. She had almost reached Winter, when she felt a rush of impact, and the worst pain seared though her. Her limbs shook and she stumbled to the ground. Misty looked up and saw a large fox standing over her, smirking with blood trickling down his muzzle. The fox unleashed his claws and swung at Misty. Misty screamed, then all went black.

Winter heard a scream. That sounds familiar she thought. MOM! She ran towards the sound and saw her mother laying on the ground in a pool of blood. Her own blood... Winter began to tear up "Mom..." she heard her voice break and began sobbing. "no...this cant be real...no..."
