A damaged mind is a strange thing. Once full of light and happiness, now plagued with a shadow of dark thoughts. But a damaged mind can also be dangerous, damaged minds know how to make hell feel like home. When someone's mind is damaged it becomes dark and repressive, much like a shadow. Looming and swallowing up any bit of light and hope left. After a while, a beam of light breaks through the darkness, the light takes over and the dark is thought to be gone. But as we all know, with light comes dark and with the sun comes shadows. There cannot be one without the other. So I guess you could say that in the end darkness always wins because no matter how much light there is, there will always be a shadow.
