Slowly climbing up to the stage. Award show ceremonies always make me nervous. I don't know is it because we're performing in front of people who aren't our fans or because the venue is so big or maybe because other groups are watching.
Anyway, my palms are sweaty.
I say to myself that there's nothing to worry about, that we practiced a this thousand times and yet, my palms are still sweating. I'm just waiting for the music cue.
The lights on the stage are blinding me while I struggle to find our lightstick in the sea of tiny floating dots of light. I see a little pink heart waving in the distance and I feel a bit calmer.
[MUSIC]
As soon as I hear the first note, without even needing to think about it, my body starts moving. And yeah, I know it sounds cheesy but the rush makes me feel like I'm flying across the stage. It's Jennies part. Then goes Lisa, then Jisoo, then me, then Jennie, then... and then it ends.
I love hearing the whole place cheer and scream. With an adrenaline rush in my head and a slight feeling of hunger in my stomach I rush backstage.
