I felt close to you
Despite the distance.

I could never forget

How precious
Could that be?
Without letting me
Finish reading
All those replies,
Suddenly,
You called,
And a surge
Of panic
Filled my veins.
More so,
That you let me
Speak with

The special people
In your life.
Nothing
Could explain
The bizzare mix
Of emotions
That gush forth
From my heart
To my system.
I was so happy,
And so nervous,
Even these words
Are an understatement.
It was just so wonderful,
Our connection;
So unexpected,
Yet so genuine.
Indeed, it is rare
To find a connection
The same as ours.
But soon enough
The giggles
And giddy remarks
Faded into...white?
Then there I was,
Staring...
At the ceiling
Of my unlit room,
Barely awake
From that
Beautiful dream
And back
To the reality
That I am still
