I've been threatened. I've been beaten. Once someone actually tried to kill me. But I'm getting way ahead of myself. I just started the story for goodness sake. Let's go back, way back to the beginning. Not to when I was born, but back to when I figured things out, and what had started this chain of events that lead to someone trying to murder me. Don't worry, that's not the main idea of this book. In fact, it is actually a pretty small detail compared to everything that is about to be put into your mind. Anyways, I'm sure you'd like to start reading, so I'll just start the story. I hope you enjoy.

My name is Ian. I live in a pretty small town where everyone knows everyone. If you don't know someone, don't worry, you'll know them soon enough. Like I said, everyone knows everyone. In this town, everyone is religious. Those who aren't, well, we don't talk about them. We all go to church every Sunday morning to learn about the God almighty, Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, the Lord loving us all and hating none; except gays. Although don't you worry. If you are gay, or anything of the LGBT community, you can be saved! You can be changed! You can do this all with the help of God.

Yeah, let's face it; this is not true. You are who you are. You love who you love. What's the problem with that? Well, I'll tell you; the problem is that apparently it isn't right and God does not approve. But then you must ask yourself; if God does not approve of this, then why does he create people who are gay or trans or anything on the spectrum? I've got an idea; to teach people that this is not right, to give an example of what God does not approve of. But why would he do that to someone? Why would he ruin someone's life just to show everyone else that he does not approve of it? Why wouldn't he just not create it in the first place? You know what, those are some great questions, and I ask myself those questions too. I ask myself those questions daily, just to remind myself that being gay is not bad.

Oh no. I just spoiled it. I just told my secret. Oh great, my whole introduction is ruined! Just kidding, it's fine, it's all great. Yeah, I'm gay, which you may have guessed from everything I have already said about my town and them being religious and hating us LGBT people even though we are awesome, because we are. You can't deny it, we are. So basically this is my story of coming out to the world and not really having fun while doing it. Enjoy!
