Thoughts That Linger
So lately I haven't written much poetry, though I love writing it. I've decided to write what I've been thinking lately.
America
-Society-
We aren't perfect; we know we aren't.
We try and that's what counts, right?
We fix our mistakes; failure is unheard of.
We thrive to succeed!
We don't give up to our opponents.
Yes, we are arrogant, but we are not all ignorants.
We are pain in the asses!
We criticise others without looking at ourselves first!
But the issue isn't entirely our fault, society dictates what we are!
A portion of our society suffers from lack of good people and faith.
I am not near perfect, but I have not forgotten that we all depend on one another.
Here I am standing not in the center nor the top of the country everyone loves and hates.
-Ideals-
We all have ideals to live for.
Independence brought our country to what it is today, thus we depend on noone but ourselves.
Positive attitude gives us hope and will.
Mistakes are never taken into account; fix them.
Time waits for noone not even for us; we are not special.
Success is everything!
Unfortunately so is money.
Here I am standing not in the center nor the top of the country everyone loves and hates.
-Pride-
We are competitive because we are prideful.
Our ego is as big as our country, because our pride feeds it.
We fight because that's how we've known to win.
We have pride because many of us have died for a purpose.
