See what had had happened was on the exact day I turned 12 on February 6, I became a "women". Which basically means I got my first period. And I honestly didn't know it was happening......I thought I was just dying. And then my mom told me if my "down there" started to feel like it was being sewed it was my period. So of course since it was my birthday, we had a party. I honestly hated the parties my parents threw for me. Let me explain, they were always last minute, none of my friends could come since it was a family thing, and I had to wear a skirt. Me being the stupid girl that I am decided to wear a white skirt. Big mistake.
Since I'm Spanish we usually have Dominican cake which I hated. I just really didn't like my culture. So of course one of my friends had to come, or else there wouldn't be anyone fun to talk to. If I was going to suffer then they are going to suffer with me!
A couple hours into the party I started to feel weird. I started getting cramps, headaches, and got REALLY angry at the stupidest stuff. Then my friends and I went to my room to hang out. That's when Juliana said "Uh Alexis, you have some ketchup on the butt of ur skirt." That's when Amanda said "Juliana, that's not ketchup. She just got her period!"
My face got really hot. Like it was burning. I was so embarrassed, maybe a little to embarrassed because I started to cry. I honestly don't know why. I guess I was just flustered.
