You sat on one of school benches watching as everyone was leaving to go home or to go to other places. It was a Friday night after all. You stretched your legs out on the bench and wrote in your journal about your thoughts. You'd also liked to observe everyone as they would come and go.

Then you felt someone pick up your legs to sit down. Then they put your legs back on their own. Without looking you smiled, "Hello Steve."

"Y/n." He also smiled. "Are you drawing, or writing your thoughts?"

"The second."

"Are you writing about me?" He smirked tapping your converse. You couldn't help but giggle as you looked to him.

"No. Not currently." You closed your journal and put your things in your bookbag. Then you took your feet off his lap so that you could actually sit next to him.

Steve held your hand, and you lied your head on his shoulder. "So... Do you wanna do something?"

"You have anything in mind?" You looked to him.

"I was thinking we could go to the local roller rink." He shrugged.

That was when you froze. You'd never actually been to a roller rink before, and you had never skated either. You watched people skate even at school, but yet you never attempted to try to skate. You wondered if you should just tell Steve the truth. Finally the truth, you decided is what you would tell him.

"Steve... I actually have never been or tried to skate." A frown crossed your face.

"Well then I guess we need to fix that. I'll teach you. That is of course if you want to." He smiled squeezing your hand.

"I... I guess so... I just don't want to fall too much." You giggled.

He got up, and then he pulled you up with him. You both walked to his car, and he opened the door for you as always. Then he got in and started the car turning on the radio, and Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This by Eurythmics came on. You giggled and began to dance to the beat.

"You love this song don't you?" Steve grinned.

"Of course I do." You smiled as you began to sing the lyrics.

When the song was over, Steve had stopped the car because the rink was relatively close to the school. You both got out, and wanted into the rink. Then he lead you to where you both got your skates.

"So what size can I get you both?" The man behind the desk asked.

"Uh... (Shoe size) please."

"And I'll take an eleven please." Steve smiled nodding to the man.

Then he returned with both of your skates. Steve and you both sat down as you put on your shoes. Steve was already standing up, and he extended his hand to you. You took it and slowly got up. You wobbled and held onto Steve so you wouldn't fall.

He chucked rubbing your back, "You won't fall. I promise."

You pulled away and nodded. Slowly he walked you into the actual rink.

"All you have to do is slide one foot in front of the other." He showed you what he meant, and you began to mirror his moves. "There ya go. It's not too hard really."

You nodded happy that you had taken the risk. You were actually skating. You continued to hold Steve's hand as you both skated around the rink.

You only managed to almost fall once, but Steve caught you as he said he would.

"I'm not letting you fall on my watch sweetheart." He grinned as he pulled you back up.

"Thanks." You blushed biting the inside of your cheek.

He chuckled as you both continued to skate. "You are so cute."

"Steve...." Then he got in front of you skating backwards as he held both of your hands.

"I'm just being honest."

You rolled your eyes trying to focus on not falling. You kept skating like that for quiet some time until you both got hungry. You returned your skates, and you both got in Steve's car. You decided to eat at the nearby MacDonald's.

"I had fun at the rink. Thanks for taking me."

"No problem. I had fun skating too. I also liked that I got to teach you how to skate."

Steve drove you home, and you kissed his cheek. "See you tomorrow Steve."

"See ya tomorrow sweetheart."
