The line moved forward.
"Are you sure about this? You know this kind of stuff freaks me out." Myra said, squeezing her denim jacket sleeve.
"Its not too late to leave." Myra rolled her eyes at Dixon, and turned her head forward.
"You dragged me into this, if I even tried to leave you would just pull me back in."
Dixon cracked a smile and a small chuckle. Clover poked her head out to look at Myra. She then looked around, and furrowed a brow.
"Its so quiet here. Im the kind of girl to like concerts and stuff.."
The line moved a little faster.
"Yeah, its not like there are several people who lost their loved ones to flying meteorites, or like the world is ending. We're more worried on the silence." Jasper said, scoffing.
Clover sighed, mumbling.
"I was trying to lighten the mood, damnit.."
She turned her gaze to Juvie, who is standing behind Jasper, looking out the small windows, staring at the red orange sky with its infected Sun.
Myra began taking in her enviroment. There were two lines, one with adults, the other with children, looking 4-18. There is a solid metal fence, seperating the children from the parents. The adults go into the new worlds differently from the children, therefore they seperate them to not risk injury. You get to choose which of the three worlds you go in, each different, yet the same. Each world is able to hold at least 10 billion people. Nobody knows what the worlds really look like, except for the people who created them. They describe the three worlds as "Unexpected, Natural," and "Healthy". The people who come to get transferred do see holograms of the worlds inside, so they arent completely surprised.
"C'mon, isn't there some way me and her can be transferred at the same time?!"
Myra jumped, and looked up at the front of the line. It was already Jasper and her friends turn to go into the world they agreed on. There was a sigh behind her and Dixon. Clover pinched her nose out of frustration.
"Even when the end of the world comes, he still worries about not being with Juvie at all times."
Myra looked up ahead, and saw Juvie trying to convince Jasper that everything will be fine.
"We'll end up in the same one, calm down, please!"
"Juvie, I'm just worried about you. I-"
Before even waiting for Jasper to finish his sentence, Juvie pushed ahead of him.
"Put me into this one."
Before we knew it, she was gone. Transferred into the tiny little dome world. Jasper quickly moved to the same world Juvie had gone into.
"Put me in the same one!"
Just like Juvie, he was transferred. The line continued.
"No comments or anything.."
Dixon scratched his head a little. Peter stepped up, and pointed to the dome that Juvie went through. They put him in with no further questions. The same went for Dixon. Myra shuffled behind Clover, a little uneasy about going in.
"You've got nothing to worry about, we'll see each other again." Clover said, not looking at Myra.
Clover was gone. Now, it was Myras turn. When she stepped up to choose the dome all her friends went in, she stuttered a little. She pointed to it instead, to not keep everyone else waiting. A clear tube came down from the ceiling, and put her inside. Before she knew it, everything went black.
It was only a second before she appeared in a field of grass, on her knees. Her friends were all looking up at the sky, and at the trees. Myra couldn't quite make it out, since her vision was a little blurry. She felt around for her glasses.
"Where are they..?"
She finally got a hold of them, and put them on. She stood up, and looked around at what her friends were staring at. Her eyes widened at the sights and sounds. She looked around, felt the dirt, and took in a big breath of air.
"Its beautiful.."
