Rwby 9

Chapter 2: New Home

             When we got to Signal I was amazed at how well the building looked compared to everything else around it. I'll have to admit that I was expecting a nearly flattened building but Signal was still standing. Of course there were holes in the walls and roof but nothing too major.
"This is the same place we stayed at when we got here," 9 said in a happy tone, " The humans made us a pulley system that leads to the basement before they all left to fight those machines."
"I'm just surprised this old place is still standing and mostly in one piece," Yang said as she was looking at the interior of the building from her vantage point on top of a pile of rubble from one of the walls.
           "Hey guys I found the pulley system!" yelled Nora. She was already halfway down the main hall where the door to the basement was. No telling how she got there so fast but at least we don't have to look for a way down. "It can fit all of us too!"
"Um guys I think I can see what made that noise earlier," Blake said while looking down one of the streets that lead to signal. 7 saw it too and quickly got everyone into the crate before we were seen. Thankfully Blake still had her night vision because no one else could see a thing once we got to the basement besides what was lit up by the light coming from the shaft.
7 then flipped a switch which turned on all the lights in the basement, which is a fourth the size of the school but it was plenty of room for twelve of us stitchpunks." It might not look like much to you guys but its home," 7 said while smiling.
           "Mommy and Daddy's home!" Out of nowhere two small stitchpunks ran up to 7 and 9 and hugged them.
             If stitchpunks could cry then 7 would be. "I thought the birth didn't work," 7 said while giving 9 a look.
            "Well obviously it did and maybe they were just asleep the whole two weeks they were just sitting there," 9 said in a tone that calmed 7 down.
            "A cat and a ...dog," Blake said with a mixture of happiness and worry in her voice.
               "It was the twins' idea," 9 said nervously, "anyway the cat is 14 and the 'wolf' is 13"
             "And I'm a cat faunas," Blake said while obviously trying to sound normal.
          "Kitty," 14 said as she hugged Blake who just smiled in response.
             "Yup just like you lil one," Blake said in a happy tone.
          I quickly and quietly snuck away as soon as I saw all the metals and tools I was determined to make myself a scythe for me to use. There was just one problem though; I'm probably fifty times smaller than a normal scythe. Then I saw it, hedge trimmers, and the same ones with the curved blades. It was perfect and all I had to do now is take the blade I want and make the rest of the scythe. It didn't take long to make and it was the perfect size, but sadly it wasn't as cool as Crescent Rose but at least I can make the blade fold and unfold at a touch of a button.
Now all I had to do was test it out, but on what. I also failed to notice my sister right behind me and I almost turned her into shredded metal and fabric when she scared me," Yang I could've killed you!"
     But you didn't," Yang said while smirking.
      "That's not the point Yang"
       "Well are you gonna make weapons for the rest of us or just yourself lil sis?" I could tell Yang was a bit mad and I knew what I had to do.
          "Of course I am I'm not selfish Yang," I told Yang with a reassuring smile. I sighed once she was out of hearing range," What did I just get myself into." Once I finished making the others weapons I was exhausted. For Weiss I just decided to just unscrew a pair of scissors, Blake got a tiny version of a Japanese blade staff thingy, Yang got the blade of a knife welded to a nail which made a great sword but it was also heavy. For Jaune I made a shield out of a square piece of scrap metal and welded a blade from a pocket knife to a nail. Pyrrha got a spear similar to 7's and a bottle cap shield. Nora's hammer was hard to make 'cause I had to break an actual hammer to make it and Ren got a crossbow and sheath.
            "I wonder if I'm the only one still awake," I said while looking around the basement from my vantage point.
            "Well you're not," Weiss said from behind me. I turned to look at her and saw that she was sitting on the nearby tool box which I unscrewed the lid off and turned it into a bed while making weapons for everyone that wanted one.
            "Hey Weiss, couldn't sleep or what?"
           "I just didn't want to be alone," Weiss said nervously. Why was she nervous, oh god does she know I like her, or is it because she doesn't want to look weak?
            "Well you can sleep with me in the tool box if you want," great now I sound nervous.
           "Ok, thanks," Weiss said smiling. Was she blushing or is it just me? Oh well. I got into the tool box after her, but I had to stop myself from getting too cuddly and decided to just face away from her.
             Apparently I had a bad dream during the night 'cause I woke up with my head in Weiss' chest and her arms around me. It felt comfortable and I was about to fall asleep again but she started to move.
             "You ok Ruby?" Weiss asked me in a worried tone.
                "I think so," was I really ok cause I feel like I was afraid of something.
               "You were mumbling in your sleep last night," another nightmare of me being alone or one of me becoming a monster. Just great. "I know you were scared when you were all alone before your death but I will never leave you again."
                  "And I will never leave you Weiss," I said while trying to give Weiss a reassuring smile.
                "Hey your ears are showing again," Weiss said while giggling.
            "You actually gave me wolf ears for this new body of mine?"
            "Of course you look cute with them."
             "Yang still doesn't know though and since when did you start calling me cute?" I gave her a look and she started blushing.
                "When I finally accepted the fact that I kinda liked you, liked you, "Weiss said nervously.
             "Well I like you, like you too Weiss," I told her while smiling.
             "Hey you two love birds!" Yang's sudden appearance and outburst made both me and Weiss scream, but Weiss couldn't really jump back because I jumped and grabbed her before she could.
             "Yang don't do that!" I yelled at her, still a bit shaken up from what just happened.
             "Hey I had to before things got too serious between you two," Yang said smiling.
             "To be honest, I don't know how that would be possible anymore," Weiss said, now a bit mad.
               "Well 7 and 9 obviously figured it out and had two kids," Yang said in a way that sent a shiver down my metallic frame.
            "My dearest sister Yang are you implying that you wish to somehow impregnate Blake?"
          "May-be," Yang said with a smirk.
           "Yang Xiao Long you are still too young to have kids," I yelled in a furious tone.
            "And besides it's too dangerous out there for kids," Weiss said in hopes of changing Yang's mind.
            "It's always too dangerous for kids, and besides I'm more mature than you think Ruby," what yang said had put both me and Weiss at a loss. Yang was right and there was nothing we could do to change her mind now. "Anyways we have to set up security cameras outside so that we can leave safely and also turn the pulley system into an elevator.
"Well it's a good thing signal has unlimited power due to the massive amount of solar panels it has," I said smiling.
